I have a few stargate episodes in 80mb AVI files. My friend wanted me to burn some for him, but his DVD player only plays VCD and SVCDs. When I burn as a VCD it takes up more than half a CD. Nero won't let me burn SVCD's... says I need to buy the codec. =\
So my question is, if I find a SVCD codec will it burn the files as 80mb so I can fit a lot more than one episode per CD?

SVCDs use more space than VCDs.

You're using minutes, not space with a VCD.
