What is everyone looking forward to? I've been trying to check out some modern/scifi MMOs instead of fantasy, which is my preference. I'm holding out a lot of hope for Stargate Worlds, also I was looking at Aion (? I think), Earthrise, and one other one I can't recall the name of.
Any thoughts/info on other developing MMOs (scifi/modern) would be appreciated

Having played a few sci-fi MMOs (Eve Online, Anarchy Online), as well as fantasy MMOs (Ragnarok, World of Warcraft), I would agree with the need to shift between genres occasionally.
As for the near future, I'm looking forward to Warhammer Online (long-time Warhammer fan, both Fantasy and 40k, miniatures and RTS), and...that's about it. I tried Age of Conan at a friend's house and was unimpressed. Aeon hasn't really wowed me, from the previews it looks like it'll end up being pretty shallow...and nothing else has really piqued my interest.

sword of the new world. Its been around for a while but its definitely worth playing. And best of all: F2P! Its been featured on IGN among many other gaming mags. go check it out

Warhammer online undoubtly, mainly coz most of the gaming companies fail to deliver some worthy stuff. A lot of hypes over games which turns out to be total failure...
Not saying WAR is a 100% safe bet, but from what I have seen and from DAOC experience, at least I know they can provide moderate to good gaming time, or so I hope.

ive played Rose Online and RF Online, they are really great when it comes on PVP, yah! right now im playing Neosteam and Cabal, they have the Science fiction gameplay. FTW

Waiting for Warhammer Online, I am done with World of Warcraft forever and trying to trade my account for something. Though it currently doesn't even have any 70's on it (highest being 52 pally) It was a fairly new account, since my last one got effed.

There is that DC Comics MMO game that they presented at E3 2008, but I'm not to impressed by it. Kinda made me think of City of Heros/Villans. Although I hope WoW gets some serious competitors, it's easier said than done.

I would say Warhammer is the main one i am looking forward too, also saw a starcraft ghosts game, not sure if that is an mmo though?
