Yay
Crafting XP in SWG is based on two primary factors, amount of resources used and whether your crafted item is used by another player. Creature Cloning has a unique problem because a major portion of the "resources" used is the DNA samples themselves. Often times these samples are extremely difficult and dangerous to acquire and it's not reflected correctly in the XP rewarded.
The fixes that are currently being worked on for Creature Cloning will take this into better account. The amount of XP granted for the creation of a DNA Template will be directly related to the ratings of the DNA used. So if you use DNA from powerful, high level creatures, not only will the resulting DNA Template give you a powerful high level creature, but it will give you more XP.
Usage XP will still play a large role in your crafting advancement. Some of you may decide to specialize in the creation of DNA Templates only and forego the creation of the final creature. It's reasonable to assume that there will be a market for these powerful DNA Templates from BEs who are less adventurous and unable or unwilling to get the needed DNA to create them. This means that BEs who specialize in the creation DNA Template will get more XP per template created (assuming their templates get used by other BEs) and may lead to faster advancement but this is a valid compensation for the extra effort those BEs have to go through to market and sell their goods.

Some upcoming changes from the BE developer. We're trying to get this into a hotfix update soon.
- Low level (15 and below) non-aggressive pets crafted by Bio-Engineers will be tamable by anyone.
- Low level (15 and below) non-aggressive tamed pets will be able to be transferred without the Transfer command.
Bio-Engineers will now be able to sell their low level crafted pets to anyone and know that they can be tamed without the assistance of a Creature Handler. Training these low level pets will still required the services of a CH but now any player with a low-level tamed pet can hire the training services of a Creature Handler and be able to trade the pet to any CH and have it traded back after it has been trained. BEs with any level of CH skills will also be able to provide these training services for their customers.

Okay, so that's not needing fixed. Apparently they put changes to feign death in this last patch too, not sure how they work but I will be finding out soon.
What I'm referring to is the BROKEN as hell Slicing and Spices.
Underworld is neat, but I hear they are chopping it up as well.
I just would like to be able to se the spice crafting and experimentation points that I have from my spice line and actually do something with spices. Right now Spice is absolutely WORTHLESS. 10 minutes of goodness is not 5 minutes of having NO stats.
Slicing 4, YAY I can succeed 100% of the time and get general crafting Xp when I make my Molecular Clamps! OH NOZ! I can only get a 20% modification!

Selling them you can make cash, the problem is. Most Smugglers who notice what they are doing make a shitload of MC's once they get Slicing 4 and then surrender the skill because you actually get LESS bonuses when you slice items than you get for Slicing III. Unless they stealthed it into this patch like NO experimentation for spices now, and experimenting on Precision Knives and FAN's not meaning jack shit. <shrugs> Making money off something doesn't mean it works.
