I am pretty sure they do as most large companies will do it. My friend who works there says she's "Almost positive" she had to take one, but it was awhile ago so she can't be sure.

Just making that comment because a few years ago I was doing 'chemicals' I shouldn't have been doing and stopped to realize that I'd eventually want to better myself. The last thing I wanted to do is turn down a job offer or get denied a job because there were drugs in my system.
Honestly, that's as good a reason as any to just not do drugs. You never know when an opportunity will present itself.

Most of employment policies will tell you if a drug test is required. I believe they MUST make that known to you. See if there is anything on their website regarding employment.
I agree, though, a drug test is very likely--you will be driving a vehicle or working around machinery....

But if you need to pass a test there is this stuff called "The Stuff" which can be picked up at most health food places and GNC stores for sure.
Basically you like put hot water in it drink t 2 hours before the test, than do something else and you cant fail. They will give you your money back if you send them in the positive.
I know people who it has worked for.

Well, every employer I've ever worked for except K-Mart required a drug test, so it's not as if employers need qualifiers like having to drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery, etc.
Trust me, you could work just fine on drugs at CompUSA (if they'd let you!)

I'm not looking for a job that I could do while high. I've actually decided to quit smoking altogether.
I think I'll go with what Douchebag McFaggerson Bling bling said and get a detox.

Dont give advice when you dont know. THC is stored in your fat cells. How would a drink clear your fatcells? Heres what you do to be safe:
Make sure its not the first p**s of the day that goes into the test cup. Your bladder will have THC in it, and the only thing you can do to help, is water down that THC. Make less THC per water ratio. About 4 hours before the test start drinking lots and lots of water. About 3 hours before the test take a vitamin B, to make your p**s yellow again so it looks like you havent watered it down. Also take 3 aspirin, that will bring the weight or whatever of your p**s back to normal...you might want to put a teaspoon of salt in some of the glasses of water you drink.
Right before the test you should be p*****g every 15 minutes, this is good. The stuff in your system is so watered down, that they wont be able to pick out the cannibinoids. A rule I use, for the 5 drugs they test for, THC is the only one that stays in your system longer then 3 days. So if you take carboxylic acid methyl ethyr benzoate (cocaine) a week earlier dont panic.
by the way i have never done drugs either.

Akronn, was just saying that because you may drive or operate machinery, it is highly likely you will be tested.
Somehow, I think being high and working at CompUSA gives the company less liablity than driving while high or getting your hand caught in some kind of machinery at a distribution center

Driving tested for sure, usually to get a driving job for any kind of delivery company you have to get a DoT physical, your company will usually ask for a UA then.
If your a pot head stop for 2 weeks and drink LOTS of water, if your a casual user you can usually get by with a 3 day window with LOTS of water, now days they do sometimes ask for restests on heavily diluted samples ie very very clear urine (from drinking lots of water) but this is VERY rare.

Well I went to GNC and checked out the detox that Blling Bling mentioned. It's $55 for a 12oz bottle of this nasty looking syrup. To get it to work I have to drink it on an empty stomach, then fill the bottle up with water 4 times and drink it. Then I'm supposedlly "masked" for 7 hours.
All this so I can wear those awesome brown short shorts

This bolded text is f*****g obvious. Here's a bit of valid advice: before you offer advice, make sure you know what the f**k you're talking about.
If your urine sample is over 95% hydrated with a close to 2:1 ratio of H20 to impurities, they will make you re-take the test nearly every time. If they don't, you're f*****g lucky as a lot of people I know have had this happen to them.
The drinks and solutions obviously won't remove stored contaminants from fat cells - cranberry juice and other detoxifiers do this slowly, so a week or two of drinking straight cranberry juice can clean a hardcore smoker's system. What they do is mask chemicals with transparent chemicals that end up in the urine, so that the THC and whatever else that filters into the urine is covered up and the tests just show a normal amount of water.
Best bet is to get an IV drip full of someone else's clean urine, heat it to 110 degrees F and then go into whatever testing clinic they send you to. make sure that the IV is fully covered in your boxers (and wear boxers) because some places will do a check for shit like that. I say 110 because you may sit around in the clinic for a little bit, and if the sample isn't between 90 and 100 degrees, they won't accept it. Easy way to do this is to stick it on top of a heater vent in your car and let it warm up evenly - car may be toasty warm, but so will the p**s.

As a current Employee of UPS i can tell you that there is no drug test for starting positions.
HOwever, i believe you have some serious misconceptions.
UPS will not hire you as a driver. However, they will hire you as a box slinging sort monkey. UPS works on a much touted promote-from-within policy. Meaning, everyone starts in the same place...a box shuffling wage lacky. Supposedly even all of the upper level management also started as sorters, although i have trouble believing that. After you work there a few years, you can put in for a delivery driver position, and if you have more seniority and a better record than everyone else after the position, you may get it.
As for the drug testing...
Obviously, i can only speak for the branch of UPS i work for in Kentucky, but i'd assume their hiring procedures lack much variation form place to place. I'd also assume if they did have any special conditions or procedures in hiring they would envoke them here. As Lousiville happens to host their largest air Hub (also the largest Hub in the world.)
As of a year and a half or so ago when i was hired, there was no drug testing. There are also no suprise or anual drug tests. Infact, UPS is pretty lax on the whole issue. Really, the only way to get drug tested is if you walk into work unable to stand or do your job, otherwise, they don't really care. Even then, as long as you submit to a drug test you will keep your job, even if you test positive. They'll only fire you if you keep showing up to work unable to do your job multiple times. I even worked with a pill-head who fell asleep while smoking next to a plane while it was being refuelled (a huge no no). He ended up liting himself on fire, and failed to wake up due to whatever he was taking at the time. Someone else noticed him and but him out. Moral of the story: If this man didn't get fired, i doubt you'll have any problems.

Awesome. I REALLY did not want to have to buy the detox.
I have an interview next tuesday!
edit: I wasn't really expecting them to hire me as a driver, espically since im 18. I actually want to work in the loading bay, need to get these stoner lungs back into shape.

Eh, I was moving furniture for part of the summer. Carrying tables and tv units in Florida's summer humidity sucks ass.
