Its a must for a beginner, because it is one of the ground-breaking games and, moreover, Ultima is the longest game series ever. So, basically, its a computer role-playing game series which belongs to fantasy genre, and Ultima Online followed it, and is also one of the longest running online games and one of the pioneering attempts in the genre. Its setting is similar to the Ultima series, and it has numerous sequels which were comparatively outdated, but the latest sequel Ultima Online: Kingdom Reborn which will be released during 2007 will be advanced and its new engine will enable its longevity. And, as almost all other MMORPG, this one requires a monthly fee.
