Countries who seek weapons of mass destruction should be invaded and have thier government's toppled.
especially ones who will/would use these weapons against thier enemies and those who opose them politically.
countries who commit evil crimes like starving thier own people, testing chemicals on them and oppressing the least of thier population.

I don't get it. Are you trying to be a satirist or something? If so, you really suck at it.

In case anyone else may have forgotten, we haven't forgotten: America is at war. Our enemies underestimated us on September 11. Perhaps they underestimate us still. Perhaps they mistake a few election year headlines for a lack of will. But then, those who want nothing more than to destroy democracy can hardly be expected to understand democracy. In a few days, it will be exactly fifty years since I stood in a rainsoaked crowd in a small Kansas town to welcome home my commanding general-who turned out to be my political hero.
In the words of Dwight D. Eisenhower, "I hate war as only a solider who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality and stupidity." On the one hand, war represents the ultimate failure of mankind. Or at least of the politicians and diplomats entrusted with keeping the peace. Yet it also summons the greatest qualities of which human beings are capable: courage beyond measure, loyalty beyond words, sacrifice and ingenuity and endurance beyond imagining.

Unfortunately there's nothing in the video to put the explosion in perspective. They should have built a warehouse or something.

This stuff freaks me out... It's not the power of the weapon that is so freaky - it's the intent behind it. I watch that footage of the bomb and I can only imagine how many lives it's going to take. =/

If everyone felt the way you do, there wouldn't be any more wars, Aikohana. Unfortunately, there are people on this planet (Saddam Hussein, Kim Il Jong, Osama Bin Laden, and a dozen or so others) who are in a position to see that we never have 'peace'. Until then we will continue to strive to become more efficent at preventing or stopping them when necessary. This bomb is just part of the evolution of warfare :/

Shit... there are a lot of places much, much worse than Bed/Stuy. Any number of Detroit or Chicago neighborhoods come to mind.

Detroit is tame now, hardly anybody lives in the city anymore.
On the last census, they were counting dead people and still couldn't break 1,000,000. You could walk the neighborhoods for hours and not get bothered. Parked cars, however, are another matter entirely.

I have been to all 3 places, even did some ride arounds with the local PDs. You have no idea what you are talking about...again. No saying they aren't shitholes in their own right, but the total numbers aren't there. Per capita, there are more felons living in East NY/Bed Stuy than anywhere in the USA, if not the world. They are the ones who do most of the crime in NYC, this is where they live. They rob you in downtown Manhattan then jump on the J train to Bklyn, rob you there, then walk home to sleep. This was not pulled out of my ass, as were your comments, I read the FBI report at work and I trust their numbers.

Oh whatever. Your biggest problem is a lack of clarity or specific argument which makes you look like a simpleton again and again.
I've spent most of my adult life in NYC and watched the boroughs change for a shitpool into something much better. Sure Bed/Stuy has crime... no one said it didn't! You said it was "the bleeding anus of the planet." The burned out, junked out, fallen-down neighborhoods of Detroit, even though they may have less crime, are still worse. Why? Because it's a total WASTELAND.
Bed/Stuy, despite it's crime, is also a vital, thriving community area.
And frankly, I'm surprised to see any of you joking about bombing American cities. All of this shit started with the "bombing" of an American city... why kid about it?

Notorious BIG came from Bedford Stuyvesant
There are some bad places in LA also, Watts, Imperial Gardens neighborhood, basically owned by the gangs.
