Yeah you go to whatever branch of service they need. If you enlist during a draft you can go into the branch you want.

Won't happen though. The word "draft" scares to many americans... to be an advocate of it is political suicide at this point, especially since it's for a war most people don't want, and its dubious as to whether Iraq was a threat to our national security. If WWIII came around, or the US was actually threatened, maybe, but not for this.

Did you even read the article? This movement was started by Democrats. It was only recently that any Republicans began supporting it. As for our President, he has opposed it the entire time.

Secondly, it was established in the first thread that Hagel parts with most republicans (including the present administration) on the draft. Democrats are the ones hankering for it.

If I were going into the military I'd be a Marine. I'd look **** in that uniform. The navy has the worst uniforms by far, they all look like f**s, no offence intended to people of homosexual persausion!
