The oil thing is like, overplayed. I mean seriously, are we pumping it directly into oil tankers for free and shipping it over? No.

| Quote: | You guys must be kidding me? Uphold order in Iraq, is that what US is doing there? From what the newsreporting says, 99% of the shit happening in Iraq today are attacks on US troops. This tells me that Iraq dont want US there, and it also tells me that if US backs out of the occupation of that country most of the attacks would stop...but then again, it wont be so close to the oil. Neither would companies like the Carlysle Group be a money pig for the Bush family AND the Bin Laden family....interesting connection between Bush and Bin Laden...
And I dont find your cut&pastes worth anything as long as you dont provide a source
And I never said no other countries beside US is to blame for anything mentioned...I just met the argument saying that US is not to blame...They definately are to blame |

Holy crap where have you been the last 3 years? The country was under a cruel dictatorship for decades and when that veil was lifted off, the people realized that they finally have the ability to be free. If we had just left the country after Saddam was overthrown things would have just went right back to the way they were. Our sacrafices and their sacrafices are what is building the new Iraq right now. And yes, im damn proud that my country is over there in the trenches keeping order and training those people how to defend themselves from these terrorist extremists.

whoo-whoo Here comes the clue-train...last stop -->you
The US is the target because they know that if they can deter our troops out of Iraq early then they can overthrow a weak government and cause it to collapse before the country gets a chance to set a firm foundation of leadership. A tactic which unfortunately works on selfish weak minds like many liberals, most media and yours Luthar.

This statement, in itself is incorrect. Not all of the terrorists over there are even Iraqi people. There are hired thugs, and murderers from all over the middle east in Iraq kidnapping and fighting our troops and outsiders. To say that the people of Iraq do not want us there is extremly miscalculated. They are well aware that we are not planning on long term occupation which is why in 2 days there will be a vote to decide on the next leader of Iraq. Every day more and more civilians are coming foward and gaining courage that they don't have to live in fear from these sorts of terrorists anymore because they have a chance to fight back and stand up for themselves. Polls for US approval raitings in Iraq are going up if you watch any news at all and lets not forget the other 30+ nations that are also helping there as well.

Go buy a tom clancy book and keep dreaming.

This one really ticks me off. People like you are uneducated, and disgraceful. People like you are what divides this country apart. How would you feel if you lost a son, a father or a daughter to this war? You would selfishly blame the Bush campaign and our troops no doubt. But what about the men and women over there fighting? I'll have you know they believe in this because they are seeing it first hand. I have a friend stationed in Kandahar, Afganistan right now and the stories hes told me are so much different from what you hear on TV. People coming foward more and more with information and intelligence on these low-lifes that kill their own people because they don't share their views. People standing up for freedom that's in reach now because we have given them the opportunity to reach it. Sure, there are casualties.. This is a war and people get hurt and die, but instead of telling the families of these victims that their loved ones died for a lost cause, how about showing them that they died to achieve something great, and that we will not give up until this job is done. There are so many good things that come of this. You have to open your eyes and start thinking about these people in these countries who are feeling freedom for the first times in their lives.
But all you can do is dwell on the negative and blame your own f*****g country for every mistake thats made. I don't know where you're from Luthar but you sure as hell don't sound American to me.

I used third world news, wikipedia, infoplease, some french news paper that post online don't have the book mark at home but can give it to you monday.and some stuff from the library where I work at. But you didn't post any proof or sources, so whats the point of telling me my points are worth nothing...
GOOGLE is your friend........and I made sure not take the info from just one web site. Thats why I cross referenced it with other sources to make sure the info was right and not from just one side..
those are where I pulled the cut and paste from, but you can find many more sources with the same info...

"In one area, a handicapped child was used in order to carry out a suicide attack on a polling station," Iraqi Interior Minister Falah al-Naqib said Monday. "This is an indication of what horrific actions they are carrying out."
Here are the people you are representing Luthar.... The ones who don't want us there.

The people we are fighting do not deserve respect. They don't deserve to live either.
