I picked my cube for $40, pretty much solely for this and the two Metroid games I never played. Can you really go wrong with that?

GameCube is dead but for this. And I won't be surprised if they simply reneg and send this title off of the GC and on to the Revolution.
I mean, in Nov/Dec/Jan, GC had released 5-6 tops. Dead system.
No idea on if this is going to be a finely polished product in terms of play mechanics, but it sure as f**k looks pretty.

Nope. You can't.
There are plenty of GC exclusives that warrant buying the all-too-cheap system. SSBM, Mario Kart:DD (I'm stuck on MK:DS WiFi <3), Zelda, Tales of Eternia (was that it? I get tales titles f****d up sometimes), both Metroids, Wario Ware (though Touched owns it--something about the game *doen't* need a full screen and all--it still owns), and quite a few others that I can't name off the top of my head. Baten Kaitos, too.
It's not a bad little system, it just doesn't have much of a following or an extensive amount of games. Sure as hell is worth $100 to get a system and 2-3 otherwise unplayable games, though.

Yeah, I got SSBM and Fire Emblem with it, plan on picking up Double Dash, the Metroids, Windwaker (kill me I never played through it =X), Tales, and possibly another couple. The system has some great games, they were just months and months between for each one, and nothing that really made me want to jump and dump the $100+ that it went for.
I'd really like to play through Crystal Chronicles with 4 people. Only got one sit-down in before, and now it's impossible to get the people. Here's to hoping they actually release it for the NDS with WiFi! =D

Yeah, FF Crystal Chronicles was fun for me too. I also enjoyed Zelda Windwaker.
In all honesty though im sure they will bring this one over to the Revo once its out 30 years from now.

The Tales game that came out on the cube is Tales of Symphonia, and hell I've beaten it around 10 times already and still not tired of it. Decent RPG, not the best, but nowhere near being one of the horrible ones.

gamecubes are pretty cool
if you can get one for $40 id say its worth it for smash bros ...
smash bros is pretty much all I ever play on my N64 anymore .. when you take a look at all these systems its really just 1 or 2 games that make them worth having after a while

Crystal Chronicles with 4 people is just about as good as offline-multiplayer console gaming can get.

Xbox Dead or Alive was pretty good 4-player as well.

I've always felt that DOA was far less technical than Tekken. Seems to favor button mashing. More over, the series loses a lot of points with me when a large (no pun intended) selling point are the in game physics of breasts bouncing. For my money, Tekken provides a better engine, one that I enjoy a whole lot more than DOA's.
That being said, I have no idea of the four player dynamic that DOA has, but it still (to me) doesn't hold a candle to tagging in another person, back and forth, with as much skill as possible. Fun!

Tekken was really the only franchise I spent a lot of timing learning combos and moves with, DoA only really got some play because of the four player element at the time. Haven't played many fighters in a while, but Guilty Gear X2 got all kinds of time spent on it. Was a healthy medium between the technical Tekken/SC games, and the mashers.
