Tom Cruise produced The Last Samurai.... not only did he not "mess it up" (which i dont know WHY the f**k anyone would begin to think that =P) .... it prolly wouldnt exsist without him... and if it did.. it would prolly suck...

(sean connery and harrison ford) it was one of the best male pairs on the screen ever!
i havent seen troy .. obviously =P but my predictions are pwnage.. same were for The Last Samurai... and i honestly cant think of a better actor for the role of Nathan Algren... cept maybe Banzai of course

I said "Tom Cruise didn't mess up TLS" because I was afraid he was going to, you see, I find him to be a bit inconsistant on his films although he's gotten better lately (Minority Report). My problem with Tom Cruise is I was afraid he'd be playing a role in TLS outside of his scope (can you imagine Tom Cruise playing the lead in "A Beautiful Mind" or in Robin William's role in "Good Will Hunting"? Not really, it's outside his scope) , but he did very well and I have high hopes for his future as an actor.
Brad Pitt, on the other hand, still has a looooong way to go. I've never been able to take this guy seriously. I've seen Interview about 10 times (mostly to check for historical inaccuricies since I am a vampire), and every scene he's in gets stolen by better actors, whether it's Antonio Banderas, Stephen Rea or even Kirsten Dunst at age 7. Maybe it's the fact that I don't find him believable when he tries to express his emotions. If I don't believe an actor, I quickly lose interest in their character (i.e. any character from the new Star Wars films).
In conclusion, we both seem to have different tastes, Realpoor is a land of contrasts, and the best male pair ever onscreen was Robert Deniro and Joe Pesci in "Goodfellas" and "Casino".
