What I like about Tribute points is that it allows me to be more flexible in gear.
I see a nice bracer to upgrade my one from VT? Great. I won't have to worry about going without Extended Range until I get another upgrade

| Quote: | Tribute Masters taking a break
Your local tribute masters are taking a short vacation. It seems that after only two days of collecting tribute and granting favor, they are already worn out. They will also be in closed door discussions, at their secret retreat, to re-evaluate the amount of favor granted for items. Look for them to return prior to this weekend.

Thats because the f*****g tribute guys didn't even work until the last portion of beta, this shit was never tested. There are dozens of over inflated point value items out there, some were pretty f*****g amazing.
I'm gonna predict they set everyones tribute value to 0 when they come back

I doubt it. I know quite a few people who bazaar farmed legit but cheap items (bloodpoints n shit) to get quite high. One friend spent over 100k pp to get his 2 mil points. If I were those people, I'd f*****g burn down SOE if they reset it omg. Hell, I spent a total of like, 10k for my 1 mil and I'd want to burn down their place if they reset it.

Looks like this is what will happen. Unless they have a log of everything turned in, and place a new value on it. I didn't exploit it, because I figured they would nerf the exploits anyway. So looks like those that even did it fair will get screwed. I was up to 120k without fishing grubs and tinkered shit...I expect no less from them, then to s***w us.

It's their fault, but I think they have to nerf it. If you didn't see that comin when you were madly buying out the bazaar you were naive at best. If they don't reset points then the tribute system is screwed.
Hell fishing grubs you can buy from a vendor for like 2 copper so if you went broke exploiting the tribute system it's your own fault for not learning the cheap exploit .

It's excellent for those who solo, or want a "touch up" for their gear/effects and stuff. In a raiding environment, the benefits are not really all that noticeable (assuming you're geared appropriate to where you're raiding). So for us hardcore uberguild raidgimps, it's a toy, nothing more. To those that play the game for XP groups or solo or whatever else non raidgimpish, I think they're excellent. A bit of a pain in the ass to work with (gay that you have to go all the way back to home town to re-enable the buffs if you turn them off or die) but they're good. They do need some quest so you get some item (even if it has like a 60 second "cast time" or something) that allows you to re-enable your tribute buffs on the fly type thing.

Yeah, an extra 150 hp, and some amount of AC, that stacks with everything, is worthless.
