I'm currently playing WoW... but the past few days I've really wondered why I still play this game. I find myself just sitting idly in Shattrah City, just being "logged on" for the sake of it.
I'm thinking I've exhausted myself out of this game so I'm planning on moving on to something else. SO~
Just wondering, for those who transitioned from WoW to GW~ was it fairly smooth? Were you guys able to adjust in easily? What about keys, controls, etc. Like is it click-to-move, or can you still control your toon with a mouse, etc?
Any insights would be awesome. thx.

Uhm - You're going to miss WOW, Guild Wars is like playing a really long single player game, although I have been playing GWs for 3 years and haven't really ever got bored with it one single time

As a WoW player to guild war players myself i found Guild War "epic". It's PVE experience is un-comparable, Guild wars provides a whole different experience without kill amount of X. You actually feel like you are RPing somewhat. But this game will not be a replacement game for WoW, you will end up playing WoW again but not logging just for sakes of it. There is some elements in WoW you can never replace AKA arena.

Going from WoW to GW can be a bit of a pain, but eventually a wonderful experience.
You may miss how you feel like your character, or how its quality over quantity, but if a war like feeling is what you want, GW will give it to you.
PvE is always strategy based post Level 20. You need the right builds on the right people to do certain things to make money.
PvP is unmatched. Alliance Battles (aka 12v12 faction battles) are the most competative experiences on Guild Wars, and when it seems like it is getting boring, rather than making a new character and spending 2 weeks leveling it up, you can do all that in 5 minutes, and spend an hour making a build. One downfall to PvP, is builds are all too public, but besides that, there are counters to every build. Although PvP may not be as rewarding as arena, it is much, much more fun. (you can use faction to unlock skills that may be used to learn from skill trainers, given to your heroes(in certain campaigns) in PvE, or just used in PvP. Judging by the several thousand abilities, this is not a 5 minute task.
However. One drastic difference between GW and WoW, is that max stats cut off MUCH earlier in GW, and you spend long hours playing, not to get gear, but for titles, money, and armor (It's more about looks, not stats).
Where the dead end of World of Warcraft is PVP, the main point of Guild Wars is PvP, making it that much better. GW is more of a realistic fantasy, where as WoW is more of a child's.
I've played both to the end, both are good, but i prefer GW, it's longer, not so mind sucking, and has a MUCH better social status(release - Barrens Chat) and mostly because, Guild Wars 2 (in my humble opinion) and Age of Conan, not to mention Warhammer Online are going to destroy World of Warcraft, unless Blizzard releases a sequel.

GW is defiantly better than WoW. PVP tactics and PVP in general is a lot more fun.

I think wow is better then GW.
When I start playing wow after GWs, it was a whole new experience, the game play is far better, only wow has more bugs.
As for the keybindings, you can only use 8 spells total, while in wow you can use over 30!.
And the pvp in guildwars is very limited, no outdoor pvp, no 1v1, only team pvp which is limited.
