Am I f****d? U-haul won't rent a trailer or open trailer to anyone without a hard top. f**k you!
I have so little material goods it's funny. I have 7 weeks of clothing, 5 computers, and kitchen paraphernalia.

have someone else pick it up for you, change it to your jeep, give them the finger when you drop it off if they notice. problem solved!

This would be a viable, but more expensive option.
Or you could have a friend pick up the trailer in a different vehicle and then hitch it up to your Jeep.

I wanna do it right, so I guess I'll go with PODs or... hm... I have an idea! I'll just stuff my clothes in the jeep and mail the rest of my shit to myself USPS. Surely it's cheaper to mail 150lbs than it is to rent a Uhaul.

This is the best option for you, since you don't have much stuff. Pack what you can in the jeep (which probably won't be much) then mail the rest to your destination. You'll probably arrive before it
You could also look into hopping your car into an Amtrak car transport altho they just cut back a lot of services, it's only available in some areas. That's only if you don't want to drive tho.. I like roadtrips personally.

Have someone with a truck rent it. Then just drive up and drop it off when you are done.

One of the main reasons I traded my 94 Jeep Wrangler for a 99 Jeep Grand Cheerokee was the storage capacity. The others being the leather, and v8.

It's got enough storage for a gym bag and a week of groceries.
And when I say 7 weeks of clothing I mean "70 pairs of socks and 16.3 condoms."
Isn't there danger of a vehicle flipping over if the trailer is wider than the vehicle? Something about the left-right-left-right wobbling of the trailer will cause it to skid out of control? I guess I need the kind with brakes on it... but I can just see me and 2 of my more mechanically-enabled friends blowing 8 hours trying to hook up the brake controls. Finally, we'd give up and call UHaul, "Uhhh... sorry. Uh... don't need it. (lol!)"
