So, I have sold three accounts over ebay and trying to sell a fourth here. I never give out armory links because I believe it could compromise the integrity of the account. Do you guys think I am being a p***y or does it seem justifiable? I just can't see it being a good idea.

Its safe through PM afaik. i doubt Blizzard go to the extreme of registering here and setting up trades to catch account traders. However, posting it publicly is NOT a good idea. There is nothing to stop Blizzard from viewing trades posted here, and those with armoury links are possibly compromising their account security. Even if they saw your armoury link they dont have access to your IP or contact info, so they are not able to ban your account as they have no hard evidence, again however, if they see the account's IP change from e.g UK to Romania in a timeframe of 30 minutes and e-mail has changed etc.. it can be frozen for investigation.
The basic rule is, post armoury links openly at your own risk.

Yea Blizzard keeps a eye on this website and may others that sell account on the site... they will close any account thats caught try to Sell, Buy, or Trade. Its not really smart to link armorys its just best to take pics of the stats and stuff and putting it on the site but make sure to mark out all talk... blizzard is sneaky but you must be a rouge with the ability to vanish to bosses lol....

Agreed. It's hard for me still to give out that information. I get paranoid that some guy would spam my character's names over the forums or email blizzard or something

blizzard cannot ban you becasue you gave out your armory link. They can ban you if you give it to someone and then they track that specific account for changes but that would mean they had to purchase it or keep an eye on every armory given out. I doubt it really means anything.

I see no problem with sending them via email or PM.. just don't to it somewhere publically accessable.

yeah I wonder about this also... I used this site called Armory Clone, you search for your character and it creates a link to an "armory" but it hides your characters name. The only problem is that it doesn't show your gems or enchants
