It needs work but here is a circular web site layout I was working on. I'd like the links and such to be hidden, off to the right. Right now feedback is kind of mixed: Half the people say "neat" and the other half say "horrible artsy shit."
Feel free to flame or whatever - but please give me feedback! I'm trying to minimize the amount of text per page and per entry.

I dig it, dunno how conducive it will be for minimizing or should I say maximizing layout space. Also need to combat the black text running over top of the background. Otherwise I dig it.

A little annoying to scroll up and have the text vanish into the background.
What links are you referring to? I dindt see any. Just the front page.

i dont really like it.
Then again its not really different from any other webpage size wise (i.e no scrolling). I do run at 1920x1600 so any website fits on my screen
The whole hiding links i dont get? why put links on a page if you are going to hide them..if no one can see them they aren't going to be used anyhow?

When I'm done, there won't be any scrolling or out-of-box area, because all the text will fit within the center. The best way to do this would be with Flash, but I don't want to require flash just to view some s****y home page.
So maybe I'll leave it as-is! Red n grey!

It would be neat if you could make the text flush with the rounded edges.

I'm not a huge fan of static background images where the text floats over them =( Its a neat concept though Jason I do admit that

Breaks way to easily. Perhaps a basic book on CSS is in order.

Or perhaps more than 5 minutes spent on a "proof of concept".

I'd feel better about it if I hadnt just stared at the gaping a*****e that okami put up in the EQ forum.
I didnt see anything but a static circle with text in the middle.

Hmm yes, perhaps, hmmm, indeed -- shall we retire to the den and discuss XSLT? Hmmm, yes, perhaps we shall.

Knowing that Dunn's site was done in Flash would make me very sad in the pants.
