|
|
|
You guys know those console things in the malls that they sell that have lots of the old console games on them? I saw two kinds at a mall today and some was wirelss and had Super Mario and Excitebike on it and the other had wires, but didn't have those games on it.
Neither of them had Metroid on them and they all had 100 versions of the same game. WHy the f**k would you want more than one version of Paperboy?
Anyway, does anyone know where any good ones are like this, maybe one that has Metroid on it?
Also, Atari has a console out that looks JUST like the 2600 and it has a ton of good games on it. But its authorized and distributed by Atari. Why doesn't Nintendo do this? They'd make a killing.
What are these things called anyway?

Nintendo used to give you a free wavebird if you reported a vendor selling those things, not sure if they still do.

Why not just get an emulator and download the ROM for Metroid?

Do controllers work pretty reliably for the PC + Emulators?
I have BioNES with like EVERY game, but I'm leary of PC plug and play controllers.

Yes, go on ebay and buy the PS2 / N64 controller adaptor. Then go to www.euroemu.net and download the whole ROM packs. (got mine for 10 bucks)
All the N64, SNES, NES, Sega, Game boy... whatever you wanna play with the controller, hours of fun
I you just want metriod I can upload it to you, just PM me

Get the Adaptoid if you want to use an N64 controller, you will not be disappointed. I love mine. You may have some problems finding one though, they stopped making them a couple years ago due to low demand.
The PSX/N64 one has issues with the analog stick for N64.
Edit: Yes, it will work with anything.

Lol... I looked up the Adaptoid and it seems that they make them on and off and they sell out pretty much as soon as the can produce them. Ones on ebay go for over $100. Insane.
But, the other N64 adapters do not support force feedback.

I have no issues with the analog stick, I just had to change some setting before it would work. Played through Zelda 64 Master Quest without a problem. The one I have is a ?boom? PSX+N64 Converter. Works great for me. I think you can use the n64 controller for the NES, will try and let you know.

ok there is no problem using it with Project 64.. checking NES now.
ok it works with NES but not sure why you would want to with the PSX part of the converter.
All you have to do to get the controller to work is use a different controller plug-in
