http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/pagedefrag.shtml

It defrags your page file. I was starting to suspect my pagefile might be fragmented, because I'd defragmented my disk fully, but sometimes it would just grind and grind and grind on the disk anyway, especially playing games loading new parts of the map. I started to wonder if maybe it wasn't smart enough to defrag the page file while windows was running. My page file (and hibernation file) turned out to be really heavily fragmented.

This seems like such an incredibly obvious thing, though - isn't there any official "microsoft" way to do it?

i usually just wipe the page file every few weeks, not like it stores anything you really would want to keep anyway.

How do you wipe the page file?

If it matters, I've got mine set to a specific size, rather than letting windows manage it (since it always seems to pick the worst possible time to resize it).

Erections lasting longer than 4 hours, though rare, require immediate medical attention.

You'll end up with multiple "dry runs", and the w***e will lose interest.

Actually, speeded and sped are equally valid for the past tense of both the transitive and intransitive forms of the verb "to speed", as can easily be verified by a quick internet search. Surprisingly many verbs derived from German have multiple past tenses (shined/shone, spit/spat).

Actually, I almost typed "sped", but it was 2 AM and I had a brief episode of jamais vue and switched it to "speeded" Wink
