I have the A8n-vm mb and it's just being an absolute b***h.
Both the full and netinstall versions of debian cannot see the SATA hdd, or the internal nic (who gives a shit about that, I'm going to replace it with a gigabit nic anyways)
What's really f****d up is that Knoppix 4x sees the sata drive just fine, unfortunately the hdd install of knoppix installs every package known to f*****g man, and I'd spend 8 days just trimming the fat
The mb has been out since 9/05 so it's not like SATA is some new trick
I'm about to pee on the mb and send it back as defective and order something else!
BTW: Anyone have a good working bootdisk with cdrom support that will fit on a floppy that can send it to me? Pretty pls with a side of porn.

i just spent a week off and on fiddling with my friends MSI MB
it has 2 sata contorllers, windoze stoped working with the Promise controller
eventho i could access the HD connected to it though several other things
i just gave up and disabled it

considering the knoppix is based off debian, it's really ticking me off that I can't get debian to rcognize the stupid sata dirve.
WTB boot disk. Lumberg will give you buttsecks.
