Hi! I saw some screenshots of the game The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar last week, and I would like to buy it. are the some things that I should know before I start playing the game? Who made it and how "old" is this game? Is this game just for North American players or European players can try it too?

The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar is definitely one of the top massively multiplayer online role-playing games on the market. On May 10th, 2007 Codemasters, and Turbine inc. released a statement declaring that the game was ranked No.1 in North America & Europe in sales, according to Industry Reports. That is something that should be respect. The story of this game takes place in fictional fantasy universe created by J. R. R. Tolkien's.

It's a great game if it's your first MMORPG. However, if you're moving from other MMO's (Namely WoW, EQ2, Lineage etc) then you will find it very similar and instead try to pick up the negatives of the game.
If a friend of yours has it, ask him for a 10 day Trial CD-Key. One comes with the purchase of LOTRO.
