The war on terrorism is nothing more then a platform for our government to launch pre-emptive attacks unilaterally against countries we "don't like", we can use excuses like WMD or "we're saving the people from an evil dictator" ect ect ad nauseum, but the truth is our current "regime" is doing nothing more then settling personal grudge matches and being a dancing w***e to the corporate machine. When anyone tries to say "but we saved all those poor "iraqi's!!!11!11!1111!!" ... did they ask for our help? Do they act like they want us there? Whats next? Do we unilaterally attack China for its horrendous human rights records? Cause lets face it folks we're doing it to rid the world of evil dictators aren't we? Thats what the government of Dubya would have you believe, Its sad that the Supreme Court, people who are supposed to be educated would simply give away the election to a child who has a 4th grade Texas education and only recently stopped snorting blow... What p****s me off the most however, is whenever you hear Dubya speak, every other setence or action is justified by "What I took for septermber 11th", you know what George? You know what I took for September 11th? I took away that you need to shut the f**k up, go into the oval office and shit yourself in the face you dirty m**********r... anyways I digress Wink

How was my post ignorant? And KBarr if he is re-elected by the people this time, I have no problem with that. I also don't have a problem with unilateral action against nations which treat their populations like shit, but if and only if we're going to do it all around, not selectively, North Korea, China, freeing Tibet from Chinese rule, Cuba, you get the idea.

Why not be selective? Should we attack every single country out there that needs to disappear, all at once??

Things take time. Crushing 2 countries in about 2 years is pretty quick IMO. If the democrats were in charge, we would still be debating going after afghanistan. Its not so much that a country that treats its population like shit needs to be crushed. But if that same country is a threat, or is PERCEIVED to be a threat. By all means take it out if possible. I think we would have bombed the NK reactors if we knew they were going to turn them on. Now we can't because of radiation fallout. I'm sure, as soon as they are turned off, we will look for some reason to level them.

One brick at a time....one brick at a time.
