I have a problem with having to go online to play offline content.
I have a problem with application that feels it should hijack my computer so it can run 24/7.

Thus.. when steam came out and I couldn't play CS w/o it I quit.

Yes you do. If you bring HL2 home from the store right now, it will require that you activate it. Now once it is activated you don't have to go online for some ammount of time. However, if I set my clock forward like 3 years it will say I am not activated and I have to go back online. so f**k that shit.

Oh wait I need to some some personal attack for that last line...

umm...
you have stick nutz? AHAH wth?!

I love Steam because people who pirated HL2 could play it well before people who BOUGHT it (thanks to Steam's s****y ass authorization system that crashed when people tried to activate.)

I also love Steam because you could download HL2 for FREE from it, thanks to huge bugs both server- and client-side. After you had the files, just wait for Steam to decrypt them, and voila, you can play HL2 for free, downloaded and cracked by Steam itself.

You know, the thing they implemented to fight piracy.

Steam is a joke.

I screwed up and bought HL2 2 weeks ago on steam cause I mis read and thought team fortress was coming out.. Well 2 weeks later 20 emails to steam and I still can't play regular HL2. You can't get tech support from sierra for HL2 cause it was purchased through steam you have to go to steam dir..only thing they have is a email....

The only problem I have with steam is how long it takes to download anything, it must be capped at 10kbps or something.
