My friends and I are playing on the first server that starts with a "D" in alphabetical order. If there aren't any D's, we'll move to E and then F, etc.

Not sure yet... Troll Mage or possibly a Dwarf Mage... I love mages in it so will be going that route. For more specific class, haven't decided, either a necro/conjurer or a coercer

Nope, Defiler are evil only - mystic good only.
You can do the betrayel quest only before you hit lvl 20, ie if you wanted to become an ogre paladin that works - but you couldn't be an ogre paladin living in freeport.
