Expect this from Eduin and friends. Nancy Pelosi said: "The cost in human lives. The cost to our budget, probably $100 billion. We could have probably brought down that statue for a lot less."
Nice...b***h.

Actually I disagree that we could have brought down the statue for a lot less. I'm not convinced that the way we went about it was justified (e.g. fake evidence, false pretenses, the rest of the world be damned), but given that we were going to do it anyway, I'd say we did it right.

Nancy Pelosi is furthering the downward spiral of her career with this rhetoric.
Keep it up Nancy!

It is too early to determine most of the effects of the war, however the cost in money at least will be great. Wonder how GW. is going to p ay for it.

Many Americans enlisted after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in December, 1941. There was a pervasive sense of spirit that a job had to be done. Everyone pitched in, or so the archival photos would give you that impression. The U.S. had been attacked and in turn declared war on Japan, which then prompted Germany to declare war on the U.S., Italy too. Bob Dole remembers that time.
In fact, we were very late getting into World War II. We were sort of an isolationist country. The American people didn't want to get into the war, and Franklin Roosevelt said in the campaign, 'I will not send American forces to die in the battlefields of Europe.' These days, however, there is nowhere near the unity of purpose that Dole encountered in World War II when the American people united behind the president and those of us who were in the service, and helped us achieve victory.
Having helped liberate Europe from fascists, it's a little frustrating that France, Germany and Russia stand opposed to Mr. Bush. I think it gives Saddam Hussein a false sense of confidence that he's winning this battle, when in fact he never was.
But what does Bob Dole think of the anti-war activists who regularly denounce U.S. intentions, the sort of protests unheard of during World War II? Why not? This is a free country. I don't agree with everything that happens in government whether a Democratic or Republican administration. Now I don't go out and march in the streets, but we don't want to take that right away.
Knowing the horrors of war every time he puts on a shirt and suit coat, Bob Dole realizes he almost gave his life for the right of free speech and the rest of the Constitution. As for the protesters: Bob Dole wishes they'd focus a little more on Saddam Hussein rather than being anti-Bush. We could have peace tomorrow if Saddam Hussein leaves the country, and declares in open session, 'Here's what I have and I'm going to destroy it,' and we watch him destroy it. This would've been over in a matter of two or three days.

The funny thing is, I dont see the UN, France, Russia, or Germany tripping over themselves to go into Afghanistan and help rebuild.....All I see is talk about American greed, well thats greed at its finest. Afghanistan doesn't have the resources of Iraq, so they don't care, but they stand to make a lot of money in Iraq, so its a big deal.
They didn't want to help, so I say s***w em, unless they want to reimburse the U.S. some of the cost of the war. Then I wouldn't have a problem with them going in there trying to make a buck.
The Russians are p****d off because whenever they go and try to take a city they gotta about level it. Was reading a Russian article where people were for Saddam more then the U.S. . The Russian military lost like 15-25k troops taking Grozny and had to level the entire city, then they see the U.S. take Baghdad which is 10 times as big and hardly lose anyone. Russia has looked pretty bad trying to invade people in the last 25 years, so I guess they are gonna turn into France #2 in the political world. All the while, they sell arms and make money off the third world.
