Which server in Vanguard is the most populated one? It is well known that you can expect best results when there are more players. The game should be more interesting, too. Or, maybe to go for some less populated servers and wait for merging? And what about character transfer? Is it possible?

It depends. If you are European you should pick Gelenia or Florendyl for PvE. Basically, to avoid listing all the servers here, I advise you to create your character at the time when you intend to play most, and check the current population at that time. I think that character transfer still isnt possible, it is a high load for servers.
