Knowledge begets wisdom. Wisdom begets enlightenment. Why do would rather regress, than progress? Guns and God or Persoanl Liberties? Home of the free or home of the scared? The land of opportunity or the land of lost opportunity? Hate or Love? Are you really Christian? Ethnocentric or Isocentric? To me, America used to stand for land of the free and home of the brave; now America stands for land of the ignorant and home of the scared. Republican or Democrat I don't care. Republicans fight to get into office, democrats worry about special interests. It is lose or lose. One thing for sure is that President Bush will go down in history as the worst president of all time. He will make Marge Schott look like Mother Theresa.

Really? Californians found him to be the best governor in the state's history. Go figure.

Leftists only decided that Reagan could speak this year when he died. Before then, they said that he was merely an actor. The left called him all the same names they now call Bush. It's a predictable theme.

Actually, I didnt have any major criticism of Ronnie Ray-gun.
The 8 years of Clintons prosperity following George Srs s****y economy convinced me that Democrats have the better solutions.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize that you're an idiot.*

*It was 3 years of boom spurred off almost entirely by the surge in investment as a result of the supposed promise of the internet. Clinton never touched the economy and, in fact, the budget was balanced by the congress against Clinton's will...remember the government shutdown?

lol. What a joke. One of the biggest criticisms from the left about Clinton was that his economic strategy was essentially Republican. His leftmost ideas, such as national health care, were either gridlocked in a Republican Congress or, in the case of healthcare, was destroyed, ironically enough, by a Democratic Congress.

Much (more accurately most) of his economic strategy was implemented in conjunction with a Republican Congress. That would make it not only bi-partisan, but highly unlikely that it was anything even remotely resembling a purely Democratic platform.

I'm not going to bother rehashing the basis of a cyclical economy with you since you continually bury your head in the sand and stubbornly insist that the person in office is the sole determining factor in the success or failure of the US economy.

Nice try, Jack. You're WAY wrong on this one.

ROFL...Where did you go to school? Does the US have 53 states? The budget was wildly unbalanced until the Republicans gained control of congress. They forced Clinton to balance the budget. Clinton refused, and that's why the government was shut down. He caved after a few days and lost out on the budget he wanted.

I weep for you, Mr. Crow.

Good lord, Jack. How can you even type this nonsense?

I wasn't debating Clinton's accomplishments. I said you're wrong if you think he was pursuing a Democratic economic policy. He was not. Nearly all of his economic ideas were straight out of the Republican playbook.

Let me paraphrase this debate for you.
Jack Crow - 8 years of prosperity under Clinton's economic policy convinces me that Democrats know how to run the economy better.
Nuldaan - Clinton's economic policy was essentially Republican and widely criticized by the left.
Jack - Clinton balanced the budget

See how the last statement has absolutely nothing to do with the first two?

this is to say nothing of the fact that it takes 4-6 years for any change in fiscal policy to take effect... Thanks, Reaganomics!!
