|
|
|
LOL, I started a small war.
I was doing the family thing, eating, drinking , talking shit. After about 3 hrs I saw that the party seemed to break up into the young group and the non-young group:) The cut off age seemed to be about 29 and under for the young ones and everyone else, not including the children under 18.
Well, I was getting bored so I went into the area the young ones occupied and listened in on what the topic was. They were talking about piercing and tattoos:) Everyone was showing their new ink, the new holes, and I showed them mine. We talked about this and that for 15 mins, colors, locations, where to go for good ink, you name it. All was good until I gave my opinion on their new "fad" and how females should never get them...
LOL, you should have heard them, they were NOT happy!!!!
They attempted to correct my judgmental attitude and tried to school me about how my tattoo was no different than theirs.
I maintained that my tattoo was more about being part of a club, a mark that signifies association with a military unit, mine being Paratroopers. And that the esthetic aspect of my tattoo was an after thought with the association it represented being the main reason for getting it in the first place.
And that theirs was more about personal adornment, a decoration. Like makeup except that its permanent. In the end, vanity and rebellion.
It lasted for about an hr, the great tattoo/piercing debate! It was the non-young group and at least half of the young group against the pierced and tattooed members of the young group. The pro tattooed group was heavily out numbered and could not compete with the logic heaped upon them.
After starting it up and getting it going, my cousin, my beautifully clear skinned sweetie and I stepped back, leaned against the wall, and watched the fireworks while drinking the bottle of Johnny Walker Gold I brought with me.
Eventually they, the freaks:), gave up and conceded defeat.
What a hoot!!!

Nice.
I find most tattoos incredibly unappealing, like they're trying to rebel in conformist ways. Oxymoronic.
Plus you had some fine whiskey, it's not to my taste, but I can still recognize a good bottle of booze when I see it (er, well, you get the idea.)

I get tatoos cause I think they look cool. Who cares. It'll all be rotted away in 150 years max anyway.

The first tattoo I got, was more or less one i picked from a book. I wanted a tattoo, more for the image then the tattoo (its a really small one, a never uncovered spot). I was 16, trying to be tuff =/
The second one I got, was one designed by 2 friends of mine, and had a very personal meaning, it has a "rune" for time/life-line, with an alpha and an omega in red on opposite sides. I had it done by a friend, when I made a decission that pretty much changed my life 100% -giving up my job/life/lifestyle in belgium, immigrating to another country-. It's small, not visible, and has nothing to do with vanity. Anyone who sees it, thinks it's freakin' ugly, and I still smile, when I see it once in awhile.

I drew a Tat I plan on getting done on my arm.
Cross with angle wings on each side and a halo above.
Says mom and a few other things.
Just waiting on the right time to get it.
I'm not religious that much but my mom was.

Once when I thought I was going to work out and get buff I was planning on getting a pentagon on one side of chest, and a cross on the other. Then I realized that i'm lazy.

I have one, on my back, but up on my right shoulder blade. Its not visible unless I am nekked or in a swimsuit, and I can only see it if I look at my back in a mirror...but that's ok, cause I did it for me, not for anyone else.
I have three things in it: a black panther with emerald eyes, the ocean, and a full moon. These are three images that have meaning for me alone. It is a simple self-expression. The tattoo arrtist (Gabriel at Lola's Hot and Flying Tattooes) put them all together for me in a nice vignette.
It should be noted that I wanted this as a 40th birthday present to myself and my ex FORBADE me to get it. He threw me a party that cost him 10k, but would not allow me to get a tattoo...now you know just a smidge of the reasons why he is my ex after almost 24 years of such behavior..LOLOL...I got the tat after I walked out, about a year or so later...

I'm not a big fan of tattoos. I think they are unnecessary and many times people get stupid things that they regret after a few years. I do respect them for displaying group associations such as military/fraternity/etc., but just getting a skull or dragon or flower is retarded. Although i probably will never get one, if i did it would be a fraternity one and it would be on my arm.

I have a very small 3 leaf clover on my foot for good luck. Going to get an 3 by 5 inch american flag on the middle upper back sometime. Not too big though.

If I got anything it would be Kanji style lettering with symbols meaning friendship, honor or loyalty. The other thing I've seen that I liked is a chinese style dragon. Lower back tatoos have become the new cool thing for chicks it seems. I think some girls can make it look good, but they are few and far between. Shoulder, etc., look better on women I talked to a guy in my class who had some crazy ass barbed wire tat on his arm and he said it felt like they were tearing the flesh from his bone with a tiger's claws

I'm interested about the positions on piercings ...
I have 3 .. A PA and both nips ... why did I get them.. well the PA was for **** stimulation and the nips were mainly for looks .. I think they look sweet .. PLUS before them I had virtually non existant nip's .. no fun for biting during ****...
They all have a "purpose" and they can all be removed and the holes will close . none of them are in view .. what are your thoughts on these?
