This is my opinion and my opinion only. Black Company was a great guild. It had great leaders and great officers/elders. I was a elder. I was made elder late in the game but a elder non the less. This allowed me to read officers post on the message board. There was an attempt to merge with Omen, however Omen did not want to become BC. They suggested forming a new guild name.
BC officers said NO. Omen said NO. The merger failed.
I have left BC and have applied to anothe guild.
I tried to reform BC but was met with harsh opposition from current officers elders.
There was even mention of the 5 million plat in guild funds being sold on ebay.
I know the person who currently holds this plat will not take it with him to his new guild.
Yes we know you are not leaving EQ.
As I have said these are just my ramblings. No one has asked me to post them. I take full responsibility for them.

Bc truly did fail when they make a guy who can barely get off his traderbot to attend a raid, a f****n elder.
It's sad to see the guild going through these hard times again. Maybe they should disband it or change the name. The BC I felt a part of (first incarnate) doesn't deserve to be sullied by what is happening now.
OK, seriously now. Post some evidence larz. Otherwise, go back to the bazaar.

Funny thing is, that the mention was to sell the BC guild bank for cash to pay back Motley and myself for hosting the BC websites and teamspeak servers. I know that I've paid...around 150 bucks so far, and motley has paid over 350 for what he put into the guild. So shut the f**k up Larz. You wanted ownership of the BC name and pretty much got told to f**k off. You did nothing to earn your elder position, much less gain leadership of the guild. You're just here crying because you want your own guild, but no one would ever follow your whiney ass. Infact I'm so sick of your f*****g PM's complaining about shit I'm glad you're gone.
Yes, the BC name would never change. I promised Gambo that when we reformed BC. I'm sure Spiritz knows how Gambo feels about the name BC as well.

you are so full of shit it stinks all the way to here larz lol.
first off, you didn't try jack shit...you made mention of reforming the guild, it's not my fault that you with your f****n 2% raid attendance didn't have any support....need me to spell that one out for ya?
secondly someone mentioned giving away the platinum in the bank to the guild members left in the guild, well we already gave everyone in the guild a nice little chunk of change....i mentioned selling some plat to pay back motley for paying to host our website out of his pocket, and isriam for paying for teamspeak out of his pocket. got a problem with that? lick my balls from across the f****n room and i might hear you out.
third, i currently hold the guildbank. and i'm sorry to say but i will not be returning to EQ, other than to transfer leadership and the guild bank, so i have no idea where you get the idea i'm going to another guild. I R REEETIRED, k, thx.
and lastly, thx for trying to bring the drama in 3 forums on the guild website and then here at the same time!! if you spent as much time raiding and helping the guild as you did trying to stir up shit the last 2 days you might have a following !!

Good luck to you larz, I'm sure there are many guilds on the server that are in dire need of traderbots, and warrior twink alts.
Oh, here, post this on your next application:
Lifetime (08/11/03 - 05/17/04): 16% of raids
I'm sure the remaining members really wanted to follow you, uh, yeah. During your excellent time as elder for the past month you attended uh...Wait? *0* raids? Hmm... Man, that must have been hard.

YEP officers who watched BC fall and did nothing to save it. And im truly sorry I didnt attend the raids we did in the last month. Raids there doable by 1 group. Time shall bare it out. As far as having no following I did more in 1 week as far as keeping BC going than any of the HARD CORE officers/elders. I did have people who wanted to rebuild. WHo wanted to play the game. And as far as having to use swear words and **** contentations I shall leave that to the truly gifted out there.

OK, so I'll respond (I'm sure I should just let this go and not say anything but well you know).
Larz, I don't know you and I'm trying hard not to judge you but your comments are pretty shortsighted to put it nicely. BC, its triumphs and its drama goes WAY back. WAY longer than you've been in that guild.
BC was chasing ED for the better part of two years with no one close to them, before that CoS was the only real competition and after that Enrapture/Awakened put pressure on BC/ED. BC really used to be a "top" guild on TM. There were a lot of people who put their time and effort into making BC what it was.
Now without digging up old details (because this isn't about me, Citaria, Sirrk or anyone else from the old crew) BC fell. Now remember all those people I mentioned putting in the hours and days and years to get BC where it was? Well they were bitter, and rightfully so. Many (most) went on to join other guilds. There were a few select people that stayed behind and wanted to rebuild the guild. Off the top of my head those people were: Lein, Motley, Kilz, Mistdancer, ummm... I'm sure there were a few others.
Those people already had to endure the dramatic fall of a once great organization and then decided to try and pull it togther. In order to do that, and no offense, but they had to take on what would be considered "newbies" from what they were used to dealing with. But make no mistake, the "newbies" road the coattails of the old BC, for a good while at least. The new BC walked through content due to a lot of knowledge gleened from the old BC and while the members from the old BC were few, they were in leadership positions and led the raids with the knowledge already in hand. And if it wasn't in hand, I know that I personally made myself available to them to answer questions and help out whenever I could because, well I wanted to help because deep down I really didn't want to see BC crumble, it just wasnt for me anymore.
So we have:
1.) BC #2 guild.
2.) BC falls
3.) Handful of members stay to try and rebuild, merge with Issy's guild at the time, recruit and begin the horrible task of not only re-gearing toons, but TEACHING them how to play the high end game. Ignorance is one of the most frustrating things, especially when you're dealing with text based communication and 60-100 people.
That's a lot of crap. It's frustrating. But the new BC built and eventually surpased the content of the original BC and continued to make progress. It was pretty impressive if you ask me, at mimimum the sheer determination of those few officers that really held it together.
Then spring/summer hits, (to me dx9 is a gay excuse, and no matter what anyone tries to say it wont change that ;p - you COULD still raid) and everyone across all of EQ gets hit hard. The game is 5 years old. Students are doing final exams and shit. Some people (although a small population of EQ players ) actually wanted to go outside and see that big ball of fire in the sky. Interest in general declines. The new BC as impressive as their comback was, they were never a strong guild. What I mean by that is not their capability to kill a mob, but rather their ability to endure. With the rebuilding and thus 98% new members there was no sense of history, and thus no sense of loyalty. So people we not determined to make BC succeed (posts of "BC to the end" dont really count - want to see loyalty, look at any of the aformentioned people, and Eluizia, Kurzog etc).
People want to quit EQ, after 5 years you realize that you've wasted a f**k ton of time in a game and you want to get out. But if you're still here after 5 years generally you dont want to leave until you've "won" which would mean pretty much beating the current expansion. As people's personal goals and values change, their desire the push a fragile guild to the end game quickly is replaced with their selfish desire to just "see the end game". I did it. I could have easily stayed in BC and rebuilt, I was asked to by many people and I held the damn leader tag. But I was spent, I didnt have any energy left in me and I didnt think I was a fit in BC any longer.
What does all this mean? Not much other than those people that did stick around went through a metric f**k ton more than you ever did Larz with BC. You have no idea what it was like to walk in their shoes, and even the people who left before the official fall of BC 2.0 (Kilz, MD, Mot) still deserve your respect, and the respect of every other person who came to BC after v1.0 fell apart and got to the eplanes etc. You road their coattails. And specifically in your case Larz it sounds like you didn't do much of anything. They were promoting elders/officers at the end if you had a pulse in a last ditch effort to save the sinking ship, I wouldn't brag too much that you held a leadership position at the end.
What's the bottom line here, if those people said they are quitting and BC is done, tell them thank you for the loot and the good times, stfu and be a little humble.
That's the problem with youth these days *sigh* no sense of roots, history and where they came from.
