Is the death of Guild Wars near? I can see that this game is losing major number of active players, and that can only mean one thing. The game is slowly coming to the end of its life. That is just too bad, because I love to play this game, and I would not like to see it dead. I do not understand why gamers are leaving it, because it is still very good and intense game.

I cannot see that Guild Wars will be dead any time soon. It is true that it is losing gamers, but that does not mean it will die. There are still millions of active and passionate players in this game. They will stay and continue to play it for a long time to come. You should not think and speak those kinds of things, because it can be bad for a game like this one. There are still some life left in Guild Wars, and we should not be worried. Developers have many stories to tell us and there are still more quests to be completed.

About 90% of the players on my friends list are all unactive, and finding groups to do missions and quests are becoming so much harder nowadays with the decline of players playing. It's not dead though, since they've implemented a way to use customized henchies to do missions and assist you with quests. Then there's always PvP, that's always fun, PvE... eh... it's alright, but after that nerf many many people quit, and then they kinda brought it back but not as great and is very very limited.
But definitely not dead, there's still plenty of potential left in the game, since they do add new weapons and new ways to make the game more enjoyable.

GW is not as popular as wow, but still lots of ppl playing. Whenever i logon, i saw lot of ppl online. It's a good game and u don't have to pay monthly fee. What's more, the game designers are improving the game. So i don't think it will die in a few years.

i don't think GW will die LoL, altho i quited if after a month hardcore playing GW finished all mission and some titles.. too fast to get bored with it but there is still alot new players joining eventhough alot seems quiting. But I'm sure they will miss GW and back again after sometimes like me

GW2 should have a very bright future. GW1 was an amazing success story that I sure hope they learned alot from.

yeah, i dont really see that guild wars is going to die anytime soon. I think the release of gw2 with liven it up even more, and as far as i have seen it doesnt seem to be losing active players. Don't forget GW has a huge advantage over WoW with not too dedicated gamers, and thats no monthly feees

It's a free game, so it's easy to see where it's easier to just put down than others...games you pay for make you feel like, "well I'm paying for it, might as well play" ect. so you find stuff to do. Guildwars is a great distraction though, and many people have invested much time into the game so they will stick around for awhile.

I don't think it will die soon. I logged in awhile ago and played a toon from 1-20 and never had any issues finding groups. Everywhere I went seemed about as populated as how it was in release.
Looking forward to GW2 though, I think regular GW will lose a lot of regulars when that comes out.

I used to be a regular GW player, but stop playing after months ago. Tried to get back into the game but all the other things like COD4, Assassin's Creed and stuffs really make GW seems insignificant...
