Aznar 1 of the best US's ally had no choice but to send NO military support.

So far 3 big gouvernement persons left the England's gouvernment to protest against blair and a few others claims to only stay cause they dont want to run now.

It really shows how much the UN is worthless, we let 1 country invad eanother while the whole world poppulation is against the war.

Hell only 56% of the Americans wants a war, thats not much.

What is the UN waiting to stop Bush? Bunch of cowards.

At least when it will be all done we wont hear from Saddam anymore.

How do you propose the UN stop one of the leading powers in the world?

As for Blair, he has a sizeable majority, make no mistake about that. Even if he had to rely on Tory votes for it.

Didn't the human shield come back?

I heard the Shields wanted to position themselves around buildings such as hospitals and schools but the Iraq wanted them positioned at military installations, communications centers and power plants.

A safe spot would be in the middle of a desert.

Even there...you never know what kind of weapons the US might test there!

They won't even stand up to Iraq! What the hell makes you think they'll even twitch towards the U.S.?

What you'll see now, Frenchie, is those dissenting nations fall in line behind the U.S. to try and salvage some sort of relationship with us. Since their plot to keep Saddam in power is in obvious ruins, they will try to save face and assist the U.S. with the 'rebuilding' in hopes of gleaming some spoils of war to replace their lost oil contracts with Saddam.

But, I'll give you this, Maelstrom, the U.N. is filled with a bunch of cowards. You finally got one right.

Well everyone is against a war, but still who give a crap about Saddam, people are just scared for the citizens of iraq.

Hope that just like in 1991, most of Iraq's troops will surrender fast and let the US reach Saddam fast enough to prevent any uneeded battles or carnages or cheap shots.

Hey, come on. We've got 30 countries behind us, including big names like Afghanistan, Eritrea, and umm I lost the list but possibly Estonia, and many more. Plus another 15 countries to be named at a later date!

Sin! Don't forget Holland.

Our prime minister said:

Um yeah... we agree with y'all, but we won't send troops tho! Sorry.

(I of course have to add for fairness sake that our cabinet is in the middle of a formation and our prime mininster is demissionair at the moment so we can't really make any decisions about that sort of thing until we got a new cabinet. But still!)

It's true! Why?

Well...because...it's a poll...and everybody knows CNN/ABC/CBS/MSNBC/FoxNews polls every American citizen on the planet!

People who post poll results and actually believe them to amount to three shakes of a cats c**k should be stabbed in the neck with a fork.

Australia is sending troops and equipment also. Not many people seem to realise this. The amount is quite small compaired to the US but it is still there.

You obviously never took any political science statistics courses. You don't have to poll every person to get an accurate response, that's what error margins are for. We have polls literally down to a science.

While this is true, it's also scarily easy to manipulate data to reflect what you want it to.

Don't take everything at face value, but don't instantly dismiss it either.

If you have a representative sample, you don't have to poll many people at all. The trick is getting a truly representative sample.

For instance, it might be that all the people who swear at you and slam down the phone when you call them for their opinion are exactly the sort of hot tempered, hasty, thoughtless people who'd be in favor of a war, but then they don't get counted Smile

Australia and South Korea have commited soldiers. Czech Republic and Spain have commited with chemical and biological cleanup teams (it could be the most important element in this war.) Spain has also supplied another hospital ship. Japan has agreed to help in the post-war cleanup (Japan isnt allowed to fight in a war unless they are specifically targetted.)

We dont need more troops. We dont need more chemical clean up teams. We dont need another ambulance ship. This list of 45 countries is just showing that there ARE people behind us, and the world isn't just what lays in the doors of the security council.

Poll a rightwing region or network, you'll get a rightwing favor.

Poll a leftwing demographic, you'll get leftwing favor.

Polls mean jack and shit.

Just because Bush is fond of saying this phrase, does not mean it's not just part of the regular english idiom. So ha ha.. Funny.

Who honestly cares? The USA can handle this situation completely on our own. France has even stated "If Iraq uses WMD on the US, that completely changes our view".. which means nato will most likely become involved.

Mealstrom likes to make generalizations. "EVERYONE" is against the war. Uh no, they aren't. Any simpleton can watch or read the news and see what is going on.

Some of you people really have no clue that the level of peace we enjoy in the world right now is due to the american superpower. It's not due to nato or the UN. Thats a fact.

Im taking bets that Saddam does the first cheap shot!

If he have a big bomb he better use it on the 3rd infantry division, hell 20,000 and 10,000 vehicules.

If he kill them all right away! He will gain the advantage! Until a US bomber gets close. But 5 mins isnt nothing!
