I want read-only database access ("SELECT") to the following tables (or whatever Ish configured them to be called) on realpoor:
phpbb_topics
phpbb_posts
phpbb_posts_text
phpbb_users
You can give me this access in the following manner:

grant select on phpbb_topics to dunn@'%' identified by 'SUPERSEKRET';
grant select on phpbb_users to dunn@'%' identified by 'SUPERSEKRET';
grant select on phpbb_posts_text to dunn@'%' identified by 'SUPERSEKRET';
grant select on phpbb_posts to dunn@'%' identified by 'SUPERSEKRET';

course you'd want something other than 'SUPERSEKRET'.
but... yeah. i'd like to make some links to realpoor from my home page, and (to me) it's fairly obvious i'm not going to abuse any read-only access. even if i were such a shitbag.
also this only gives me access to the posts, not to PMs.
unlike some mods who can (and do) read PMs.
so... yeah.
vote yes for greater honor.

Yeah they can. Theres a phpbb mod to do it. Failing that, anyone with sql access can do it.
Bottom line, if you use a forum, don't trust it to be secure.
