|
|
|
I was listening to some radio show where this lady said she is a pharmacist and refused to sell the morning after pill to people because she is a good fearing conservative women and the morning after pill is just as bad as late term abortions because they both do the same thing murder a child.
Now I can understand people having a problem with abortion but do you really believe it is the same as the morning after pill, I guess if you believe life begins at conception then yes but that seamed a bit of a weird statement to me.
Those of you who are Pro-Life do you agree with this ladies opinion?

I guess so, sad they won't sell them to people because they are against it.

I don't know a single person that votes pro-life and has adopted a child. I don't know a single person that votes pro-life and volunteers at orphanages or social programs.
I have tried very, very hard to be open minded about this issue. I went so far as to attend a Pro-Life ralley and really listen to what they were saying. Know what I saw?
Out of the 24,000 people there, there were zero blacks, zero hispanics and, judging by their clothes, zero poor people.
I'm not black or hispanic, obviously, and I'm not poor. Still, I find it amusing that rich white people are pro-life. It's easy to say No Child Left Behind and have zero tolerance for abortions when you're not the one stuck raising them.

I don't understand your issue with the pharmacist, an admitted pro-lifer.

I don't see those upper middle class whites as doing anything other than flaunting their religion. They don't put themselves in anyone elses' shoes. They are just participating in some big white fashion show (aka church/pro life rallies) and could care less about how poor some randomly-raced person is. They have never been poor. If they had gotten pregnant at an inconvenient time their grandmother woulda raised the kid while they went to college.
Maybe I am just bitter against conservative Christians. yes, that's it. Nevermind.

I just think if your job is to fill prescriptions you should do so. But honestly it is more that she thinks the pill and late term abortions are the same that was weird to me.
As for the rich white thing, I think its more “Rich” than “White” But while I am pro choice I don’t think you should have abortions because “You are not ready for a child” that just seams to much for me.
What everyone needs to understand is people who are so high on the horse over an issue are usually the first to change their minds when it happens to them.
One minuet “All drug users are bad and should go to jail”
Nest minuet “I am addicted to pain killers pray for me”
One minuet “Abortion is wrong, wrong, wrong”
Next minuet “Susie was rapped by her “colored” boyfriend so its ok if SHE has one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minuet
| Quote: | | A minuet, sometimes spelled menuet, is a social dance of French origin for two persons, usually in 3/4 time. The word was adapted, under the influence of the Italian minuetto, from the French menuet, meaning small, pretty, delicate, a diminutive of menu, from the Latin minutus; menuetto is a word that occurs only on musical scores. The word refers probably to the short steps, pas menus, taken in the dance. At the period when it was most fashionable it was slow, ceremonious, and graceful. |

I am Pro-life (aka anti-abortion)
I have participated and even started food programs for homeless kids.
I am Pro-morning after pill.
This pharmicist is simply uninformed. She is confusing the morning after pill with RU-486, which *IS* an abortion pill. She obviously doesnt know the pathology of the morning after pill.

So, when does life begin, oh great and masterful republican? Where do you make the distinction between abortion and not abortion? Is there a day, like the thrid day or the first weekend after that you draw your arbitrary and meaningless line?

Who told pharmacists they had the authority to decide if a person should or should not be taking a pill based on their own moral views?

Life begins 2 weeks after YOU want to have an abortion.

1. I am not a Republican.
2. I am not great.
3. Yes, there is a day.
4. Where my belief lies as to the beginning of life has nothing to do with this thread.

As an unbiased observer, how does your belief as to when the beginning of life takes place NOT have anything to do with this thread?

Because the morning after pill does not abort a fetus. This isnt an abortion thread. It's a thread about a stupid pharmacist who thinks it IS an abortion pill.
Besides. If it WAS an abortion thread, its still only my opinion. Not very special.
