All spiders can be picked up. The question is, is the spider annoyed enough by your handling style to bite you. The secret is moving slow and not touching certian parts of their body. I have picked up some spiders, some i would not attempt, even with slow movements. No point in it. If they go off and start sinking fang you WILL react. In the end the spider would get the s****y end of the stick. They are very fragile, not as well put together as similar sized crabs. Last thing I wanna do is kill one of my herd because someone wants to watch me play with it.

I own 2.6.0
T. Leblondi. The heaviest spider there is. Legs span of over 11 inches. They can eat some big prey items. I just feed crickets and roaches and fish. They are mean and make noise when I open the cage. Its a strange sound they make by rubbing spiked mouth parts. Most times they give me an aggressive display and charge the opening. I have to be ready with my extra hemostats to hold them back. Sometimes it takes a min or 2, literally, to get them calmed down. The best things is to tap the cage a few times and pop the top off for ppl who have no experience. Seeing it come flying out of the cage with dripping fangs close to an 3/4 of an inch long is fun:) And they are fast, faster then I am.
They come flying at you, not running away, aiming directly for soft parts, raised up like this.
I love my spiders. How could you not?
