I have been using McAfee for a few years and honestly I'm not that happy with it. I usually end up running a AdAware and a Malwarebytes along with it to make sure I have gotten everything. Also McAfee will reupp your account without notice so last year I had a $45 charge on my credit card without warning. Chances are I will cancel it this year.

I just bought a laptop and DL'd the free version of AVG and I have been pretty happy with that so far, but its too be seen.

I've use AVG, Mcfee, Norton, Kaspersky, and now i've been using NoD32 and a custom made firewall that updates from a backlink to most antivirus' virus definitions! Reason i've been using NoD32 is its light-weight and it gets the job done well without dramatically slowing my computer down none what so ever.! The firewall was programmed by me and my friend. Both work great together although i sometimes download others just to scan everything to double check just incase Very Happy

~- Also Use MalWareBytes!! Great Anti-Virus/ Anti-Malware!!! Used it for 1 years i recommend!!!! -~

Yeah it works legit. Seems to use less resources than AVG and be extremely accurate at finding viruses, trojans, and malware. I haven't had a single infection and my machine has been running almost perfectly since it became free.

I've been using AVG free for the longest time and haven't had any problems with it. Haven't got a virus yet either.

Yeah AVG is most popular so most people can write stuff around it. But I use two different ones now so id would say any two would be good enough

Anything but Norton of McAfee. Those hog so many system resources. They also have a low detection rate so a lot of viruses/malware slips through.

Throw another vote in for NOD32. It's stable, lightweight, and fast. Norton is so friggin' bloated.
