Which is the best antivirus? There are many answers on this neverending debate.
Many prefer free versions, while others like to pay to be protected.

I've set up a little poll, because I'd love to hear your opinions. Smile
If your antivirus isn't listed, vote for 'Other' option and you can explain which one is your pick in this topic.

As far as antivirus goes AVG gets my vote, although I now use the antivirus that comes with commodo firewall. Call me a hypocrite.

kaspersky is slick, the centralized management software works with little headaches in the office. Doesn't impede or get in the way or annoy.

If you are going to put money into buying an anti-virus: Kaspersky.

Avast! if you are looking for something free.

AVG seems to be the safest bet and it won't hog your resources like a lot of the other applications listed

I've heard that AVG 8.5 is weaker than previous editions (7). Also, free AVs like Avast and Avira AntiVir have implemented antispyware and antirootkit tools.

McAffee is a bit of a resource hog from my experience, but I've only used their enterprise versions. I don't know if all versions of Kaspersky do this, but the version I used downloaded virus dats from a bunch of different anti-virus - nothing like hedging your bet!

I've always used AVG, but I've heard NOD32 is good.

Personally I think a knowledge of how viruses work and what the hacker is going to try and do to get you is the best anti-virus.

AVG is too well used now. It's getting targeted and more things are slipping past it.
Nod32 is my current pick, tho as its growing in popularity it might be time to jump ship next year.
