How come they don't do Dallas vs the Redskins on Thanksgiving anymore?

Alot of owners made a stink awhile back about the Lions and Cowboys monopolizing Thanksgiving, but somehow the tradition survived. However, they rotate their opponents alot more now... so Dallas will play the Redskins on Thanksgiving about once every thirty years.
Detroit has played on Thanksgiving since 1934, so if anybody's wondering how or why they're always on, it's because NFL officials respect an arrangement made long before most of 'em were even born.

Wow, that Lions game was so horrendous that apparently coach Steve Mariucci is getting the axe today.
What they really need is new ownership, though. Oh and a QB or two wouldn't hurt.

Doesn't Matt Millen run that office?

Yeah, Matt Millen is in charge. Just got a 5 year extension or something obscene like that. Not bad for a guy going 20-56 during his tenure.
Mooch wound up not getting fired today, but I guess it's imminent. It may not happen until the end of the year, though. Whatever, the whole franchise is a disgrace. They're not good enough to make a MNF game, and when they do get a chance to play before a national audience, they get blasted. Topping last year's Thanksgiving game when Peyton dropped 6 bombs on them was going to be tough, but they made it look pretty easy for Atlanta at any rate.
