Who's watch did this happen on? Well who has been in office for the last 4 years?

I seem to recall Clinton turning over a budget SURPLUS to Dubbya.
What do you say to that?

His bank accounts are more than balanced.

I can pull up figures for you anal retentive dipshits, but can you just imagine how much money his family has made during the time our country's budget was being reduced to shambles?

That's not right. And none of you are that f*****g stupid that you can ignore it.

also to anyone who has never studied any economics, the market moves in cycles of up and down IE if bush got office on a high point and then we got attacked on a downswing the effects would be 10x more then if we were on an upswing. cheers.

You truely are a belligerent, ignorant f**k.

It has been shown, and not contested by the democrats (check the debate transcripts if you want), that the stock market and economy in general was tanking 6 months before GW took office. The US economy is a cyclical economy, and the president actually harbors little control over it.

As for where the deficit came from? The "surplus" you speak of is actually a projected surplus based on current economic numbers. At the time of the surplus's projection, the economy had peaked from the tech growth of the 1990's.

Months before GW took office, the tech bubble burst, and thus the economy tanked. When the economy tanks, so do tax revenues, and thus the federal government begins to run a deficit. This recession was the shoortest contractionary period in the nations history. You should be thanking GW, not b******g at him. It's your fault you're ignorant, not his.

woah...

Are you scared by the deficit? Do you even know what big bad effects this has on us? Smile

Yeah.. I didn't think so.

Woopty f*****g do.

you have no points,, you really don't know what you are talking about - the best thing you got going is this one dude has figured out how to change the color of fonts and enlarge them.

Nice!

this is a typical, and clever, ruse to distract from the fact that the deficit is very bad.. the worst performance in a loooong time fiscally

and yet you would rather berate someone for their use of fonts than truly explain how you can continue to ignore the obvious incompitance this deficit exposes in your candidate of choice

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20041014/D85NDM3O0.html

Quote:

WASHINGTON (AP) - The federal deficit surged to a record $413 billion in 2004, the Treasury Department announced Thursday, injecting the figure into a presidential campaign in which the two parties have clashed over President Bush's management of the economy and the budget.

The number was a significant improvement from the shortfalls that analysts projected earlier this year, including a $521 billion estimate the Bush administration made in February. In March, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated a deficit of $477 billion.

Both the administration and the Congressional Budget Office had lowered their deficit forecasts as the year progressed, due to stronger than expected revenue collections and lower spending.

Even so, the final deficit figure easily surpassed the previous record in dollar terms - a revised $377 billion deficit that was run up last year. The government's 2004 budget year ran through Sept. 30.

In a statement, Treasury Secretary John Snow cited improving economic data and said the budgetary improvement shows Bush is on track to cut the deficit in half over five years as he has promised.

"All of this shows that the president's tax relief initiatives are having the intended effects," Snow said.

The deficit for FY03 was a lot less than expected. Tax revenues were up. President Bush got a tax rate cut and the revenue went up. So it wasn't a tax cut, it was a tax rate cut! and it worked perfectly. Now if we can just get Congress to cut spending....

Didn't you learn your lesson in the other thread? Do you want me to sit back and make you look ignorant again?

Look man its like this - You don't have a real grasp on how things really work, look it up, learn something and come back and argue.

I berate someone for their use of fonts because its the only tactic i see from them, i don't see common sense answers (atleast your posts are thought out somewhat), i see nitwit fonts saying " d*****s " ... or.. "d**k". Maybe it could be considered clever once or twice, but 5+ times? Perhaps it amuses you, and perhaps thats the reason for your post.

Since its obvious you didn't learn your lesson, I will give you lesson numero dos.

1) You don't even know what the deficit actually effects in this country, thats apparant, You know its bad, like cavities etc...

2) The deficit really has been a tactic of fiscal conservatives in the past to try and make democrats look bad - don't follow in their footsteps eh? Seeing as you seem to disagree with them so much.

3) Last year, we spent 384 billion to much, go us, woopie... Do you realize how much money our government gets?

4) Have i said its not a bad thing? I don't think so, if you look at the posts i have made you'll see that i have simply pointed out people really have no idea what the f**k they are talking about in regards to the deficit, as in its always been used as a scare tactic. If you knew what it affected you would know, its not really that big of a deal when looking at our current situation.

5) Why are you trying to argue about something you have no idea about and most importantly, Why do you keep trying to misstate my posts? I suggest you reading my statements, understanding them before you post stupid shit like this.

You don't seem like a d*****s, Why are you acting like one?

I ask you again, Why is it very bad? Smile Do you really know or are you biting into more b******t....

Did I miss your response to my logical and liberal partisan defeating post? Oh wait, you didn't make one. Kindly shut the f**k up Wink
