Just had a hard drive crash. *yay* This is a PC I built. So I go and buy a new HD and install it. I install windows and get it running. I have an Intel D875PBZ motherboard, the problem is that my dog decided he wanted to chew on my Intel software CD with all my drivers and such on it. I've downloaded every driver I can think of on my second machine, burned them to CD and moved them over(including the driver for the integrated LAN and BIOS update) and windows still doesn't see the integrated LAN. Any ideas on how I can get windows to see it? Should I just say f**k it and go buy a NIC?

krath's link looks like a winner, but just in case you can try to find drivers specifically for the brand/model of the integrated LAN. I found some drivers for my integrated LAN (even though I didn't need them) so it should be ok for all others.

i sent Kilzalot all of the original 875 software/documentation today so hopefully if he doesn't get his problem solved by the time he gets the package, he'll be able to solve it with the original CD :/

Yea I'm still having a few annoying problems unfortunately. Windows only sees 32GB of the 250GB hard-drive. I've made sure windows is up to date to support the 48-bit LBA and my bios is up to date. Only thing I can think of is that I updated my bios after I installed the hard drive. So I don't know if I need to re-install Windows now or what. I f****d up when I put the new drive in and knocked off the bios jumper which I guess reset the bios. grrr

Did you format the drive Fat32 or NTFS?

NTFS. I changed a few things and re-installed Windows. Managed to get it to see 128GB. Did everything I knew to do and read lots of online docs tryin to figure out how to make it see all of it. Only thing I haven't tried that was suggested is getting a PCI card to run the HD off of, and I realy on't wanna do that. So used partition magic and made a second partition of something like 105GB and I'll just use that for data or pr0n or whatever.

Exactly what I was going to tell you to do, except just to resize the partition to be 100% of the available space. It wouldn't let you do that?
