Is there a zone in particular that entertains you more than others because of ... whatever reason? I suppose you could say a raid zone, but most of the time raid zones are just loot factories and people wouldn't spend more time there than they had to.

Personally I really like Un'Goro Crater. It's great to hang out in, but the zone that I've recently started to discover and that's creepy as hell is Silithus. The storyline surrouding the Silithid is pretty neat, and it's also neat in a weird Starcraft-meets-Warcraft kind of way, I suppose.

What places do you guys like?

-Nah-

I like Ashenvale because of the flora, lakes, streams and buildings.

Stonetalon is cool. I remember creeping through there in beta when there weren't even any mobs. Razz It was still scary tho! It was the first 'contested area' I had seen.

I like Brill and the surrounding areas a whole lot. Farms and such are just far enough away that you get a sense of travel, without being so far that you blow your whole night getting to them (ie the EQ run from HHK to Erudin). It's very spooky, and if you make a level 1 undead and actually read your quest dialogues, the quests are really neat too.

Orgrimmar's "Cleft of Shadow" is really neat. The Undercity is great in a New Orleans Neon kind of way.

I like Tarren Mill because incessant griefing and worthless scum shitfucks are kind of cool, when you're into that sociopathic sort of experience.

City: Stormwind. It just feels right.
Instance: Stratholme. The whole burning city is just awesome.
Outdoors: Kinda a tie between Elwynn Forest and Deadwind Pass. Elwynn because it just feels tranquil and I love trees. Deadwind because of the huge tower and undead village at the end of it are just really freakin cool.

I find myself spending a lot of time in the Hinterlands. There are a lot of good quests to be had there, and the place is an herbalists haven.

The caves in southern silithus are pretty cool, spent like an hour and a half wandering around in them, but then again the servers were crashing every 5-10 minutes and setting me back 2-5 minutes in world position so I probably only got 40 mins worth of exploration in Razz

Un Goro is a favorite, the undead newbie areas were fun when I played an undead. Disgusting when I played a Tauren. Laughing

I like the cave in Un'Goro, with all the crystals and JD in it, at Marshals.

Stratholme is awesome, as stated before, burning town ftw.

Wow, all you guys like the Un'Stupid'Goro? I hate that zone; it's a pain in the ass to get to, and if you weren't getting ganked by a gang of level 60 horde you were being stalked by those annoying tyrannosaurs. I agree that Silithus is impressive; it definitely gives me the creeps more than any other zone.

Although it's not used much, one of my favorites for effects is Blasted Lands. The rolling thunder sounds totally convincing especially on good speakers and I love seeing lightning bolts hit the ground right next to me. Decent layout for fighting too.

I liked Desolace too although I'm not sure why exactly, just that there's a lot to do and I spent a lot of time there so I must have liked it Smile Spent a lot of time mining mithril and pvping underwater off the coast.
