Bioware is not the end all and be all of RPG's. I personally dig square/Enix (I know Tales is Namco) over Bioware any day.

Every Tales game I've played, I liked. I never picked up Eternia, though. But Phantasia and Destiny were great. It's just too bad I don't have a damn GC.

Square/Enix hasn't released a fun game in over a decade. And KH doesn't count becuase Disney + Sephiroth could make any game awesome short of that shitfest that is McFarlenes Evil Prophecy

I'm fairly certain you've never played a Tales game. The fun part is fighting. Assuming they revamped the engine, it ought to be even more fun than the past, side scrolling action sequences.

What was the last Square game that you reeeeally enjoyed? I'd say 7. After that it's gotten progressively worse.

Honestly I loved the ground missions of Drakengard, the dragon only missions are what ruined the game for me.

I enjoyed FFX and FFX-2 myself. I didnt really like 7 or 8 as I thought they were more fanboi games although 9 was ok.

Square has made some decent games, but they have also made some very iffy games. FF9, Drakenguard, The Bouncer, and some mission based one that was so awful I can't even remember it's name.
Everything Bioware makes is gold.

I personally didnt like Baulders Gate I or II. I thought NWN was fun for awhile but then it got to repetitive too fast,

I only played BG once, because I like BGII much better. Have played it 2 or 3 times, and I've been playing NWN since it came out. KotoR is great as well. Takes the feel on NWN and puts it in a StarWars game. (with some differences of course, you can't have D&D rules with SW)
What I like most is the storyline. BGII had the best storyline.

KoTOR I dug from what I played although I didnt get a chance to get into it much. It is on my list though

Man as good as BG2 is, it doesn't hold a candle to Planescape Torment. Which may or may not be my favorite RPG of all time
Also I would place Tales of Destiny for PS2 and PS1 closely after that. And as Zuldane can testify I play a SHITLOAD of games.
