I swear to christ, almost every show nowa days is grabbing people outta society like a f*****g bingo ball. Watch MTV, atleast 10 shows relate to making people "famous". And of course the obvious, these reality shows which are just stupid. Why does everyone feel to need to be an attention w***e?

I watched "The Swan" yesterday. A reality show where "ugly women" each get "rebuilt" by another plastic surgeon. It's sick =/

The only things that matter in the US are being rich, or being famous. Being rich has lost a little of its luster lately, what with the general feeling that all the rich dotcommers and investment bankers pretty much screwed over the general public and caused the current recession, so now the main thing is to be famous.
Periodically making a few common people famous distracts people from how otherwise meaningless their lives are.

Yes, my TV habits are:
Sunday: Sopranos, Deadwood, and Football when it's in season.
After that, it sits there, covered in dust and cobwebs, staring forlornly at my bed.

literally the only TV I watch is G4 when I can get it to work. My black box is old and I don't wanna waste money getting a new one.

I watched it. It was awesome, they made people who I would normaly look at and cringe, acceptable to look at.

Only TV I watch is hockey, and then I'll also use the thing for watching DVDs.
I catch a little of our 'quality programming' at work or if I'm visiting friends and family, otherwise I see nada.
As for the whole reality TV thing, well it's just a fad. Once upon a time half the shows were westerns... these things just go in cycles.
