Yeah Maelstrom. Chemical plants used to make chemicals for use in non-military applications are always guarded by large military personnel.

it sure would make us look bad, but i think maybe there are a number of reasons why nothing might be found... yes yes, smuggled out, etc etc...

Also Chem plants are always camo'd to avoid detection by satalites and other intelligence methods. And then theres the senior Iraqi officer there, the extensive defenses including fenceing etc. Regular chemical plant for sure.

He had some and never prooved he got rid of em. I don't think you can say that is tangible proof, but nonetheless it is a strong indicator that he is harboring some.

Watched a reporter interviewing one of the Marines in Umm Qasar following the firefight showing the small arms that were taken by the USMC. Included in the gear/weapons that were taken were gas masks. Why in tarnation would the Iraqi military need to have chem/bio masks near them during a firefight? Just one of those things that makes you wonder eh?
