Anyone else catch this documentary last night? I loved Steve McQueen when I was growing up. I remember watching On Any Sunday when I was little, thinking he was the coolest guy ever.
This show was pretty disappointing. I never knew he was a wife beating cokehead.

They had been beating the crap out of blacks in public for years in Cali.
I worked at a Ready Mix plant on 190th and Normandie (for you locals, ya that is Greenes Ready Mix) in LA years before the Rodney thing happened. (close to Compton area) I saw this black kid get chased down the block and back. Many cops were chasing him on foot and when they finally caught him they beat the living shit out of him in broad day light like it was just another day. Must of been 5 or 6 cop cars with more and more pulling up to take turns with him. Traffic going by as normal. That shit was the norm till someone got a camera involved.

If you run from the police almost anywhere they will beat the shit out of you if they catch you. Or just rough you up good.
