I'll probably hit EB and see if they have any PC versions available. Got my NHL2005 this morning for the PS2. Haven't had a chance to fire it up yet. Since it will be the only hockey played this year.

Kely did you get ESPN hockey for 20 bucks new? NHL got smoked this year by it, all the reviews are talking about how much NHL sucks this year i would take it back =).

I tried the NHL2k5 (rented it) and hated it. I loved the 2k4 version though. A cross country friend of mine said that NHL 2005 isn't quite as good as the older 2k4 version of ESPN, but better in his opinion than the 2k5 version.

So how good is it? Lot of PC gamers I know are telling me it sucks ass for the PC, but its good on Xbox and PS2 aslong as you have them connected to Xbox Live and whatever PS2 uses. Like the maps are to small, the singleplayer componate AI is shitastic and the overall feel of the game is way to consoley (that a word?) on the PC. I personally didn't care for the Battlefield1942 or the UT2k4 starwars mods. So is it worth it?

Well I bought it for the PS2. It was a lot of fun. I normally suck at FPS's with a game pad. But this game isn't too hard to get used too. I totally enjoyed every damn Ewok that died to my blaster. I seem to play normal troops the best, simple blaster guys. I look forward to trying to other classes and possibly trying out the Multiplayer soon.
Thumbs up for the PS2 version.
Oh and NHL 2005 is pretty decent.

I got it for xbox and its actually a lot of fun. It feels like you are part of a war which is cool.

I got it for the PC.
Unless you play on hard then yeah, the AI does kinda eat shit. The maps are small but in most cases the movement is so slow you don't even notice. Seriously, try walking an AT-AT across the map.
Fun game overall in single player, haven't tried multi yet.

yeah, fun single player .. kind of like domination or onslaught .. sort of .. but cooler
fun to just kill a shitton of guys  .. overall a good game for a little while
havnt tried online .. i wonder what its like
