If it's who I think you're referring to, his name is Ronon Dex (forget the actors real name) and hes a weapons expert that the Atlantis team finds in whats schedueled to be episode 203. He will be a main cast member and will take the place on the team of Lt. Ford (Rainbow Sun Francks) whos been moved to a recurring guest start. Ronon Dex has been on the run from the Wraith for years being a contestant in whats basically a hunting game the Wraith play with some humans, he has the record on not being captured.
I think the character sounds kinda dumb honestly but we'll see how it turns out.

Too bad Reckoning mostly wrote out Baal, would have liked to see him get a big role in a season for once. He's been a pretty cool badguy since he was introduced.

It won't be bad, Claudia Black is only in 4 episodes I believe, and seeing a followup from a character in a previous season (812 Prometheus Unbound) is always good. Ben Browder I'll wait and see on, I would be more concerned with Mitch Pillegi in SGA as the new military commander, or maybe Beau Bridges in SG1 or a total lack of RDA this season since as far as I know he turned down the 4 episode contract he had been considering.
Oh, and Ronon Dex is being played by Jason Momoa

hmm, forgot to post some text 
what Brael said plus i found this tidbit
played by Jason Momoa.....Jason is 6-foot-4 and has this deep, booming voice, but he's not Chris Judge junior. He's a terrific addition to the Atlantis team and is willing to do anything you ask of him.

So they're saying Christopher Judge isn't a terrific addition to SG1? I think of Teyla more as Teal'c's SGA counterpart anyways. Both were opressed by an alien superpower, both are good fighters, both aliens, both were added in the first episode, both know alot about other worlds, etc...

Claudia Black and Ben Bowder will be awesome! maybe they can travel to the farscape universe through the gate?
the first episode was Black is in was f*****g awesome- i want to marry her :/
I'm really dissapointed about MacGyver, but I understand where he's comming from, i think we'll be ok without him though he will be missed. I just wish Claudia Black had a more perminant position on the show and not just a 'oh we need a girl on the set since Amanda Tapping will be out'
