I just watched the Tivo'd copy.
Shaping up to be pretty damn cool.
I've always thought Stargate:SG-1 was top notch sci-fi... a bit cheesy at times, but great overall storylines.

Yeah seems pretty cool, I missed SG-1's 2 hour opener, so I watched the preview, season 8 opener and Atlantis opener all back to back heh.
I just hope they dont get too stupid with it, I think they may of placed the enemy a little high. From the sounds of it the Ancients could of defeated the wraiths, but underestimated them and were a little arrogant and caught off guard.
You go to SG-1 and the Asgard talk about how they have just scratched the surface of the ancients knowledge, and we are like ants to them, so its kinda crazy to have the spin-off fighting this battle.
I think it will flow good if they have them out-smart the wraiths and come up with a low-tech way of defeating them. Kind of like the guns and the replicators kinda thing.

Yeah atlantis is nice.
Season 8 seems to be good too but it seems to me gonna be a lot of base/earth episodes w/ rda being a general and all.
I got rehooked on sg-1 few months ago and this once a week stuff isnt cutting it for me.
Deleted half my movies on 2ndary harddrive to make room for all 7 seaons
Gonna need another harddrive ;(

Richard Dean Anderson isn't going to be as active during this season, he wants to spend time with her new child. Was either that or he wasn't going to be in SG-1 at all, so they had to think of something to keep him in the show.
So Richard Dean Anderson was made into a general, since he will not need to be as active as he was in the past. He will be on alot on some shows, and then not so much on some other shows.

He also wants to do documentaries on the rainforrests and shit.
I was too drunk to watch Atlantis, i caught the opener to SG-1, it was good. Its not too often that we get the azgard, gou'ld and replicators that active in one episode tho.
I am gunna try to watch atlantis tonight if there arent too many ppl over at the house.

Synopsis of episodes, news about stuff and what not... I remember when they were saying Season 6 was going to be the last (the producers, the actors, etc were).
Watched SG:Atlantis just now from a copy I downloaded (don't have cable tv at home) and I like it, I like it alot... lots of room beyond even what SG1 had to manuver in, hopefully it doens't go overboard though. Should have episodes once in a while that trips back to Earth are possible for short times etc just to add new flavor if needed, but they should be rare.

Yes I have standards when it comes to real contact. Me saying I want to f**k so and so doesn't go any further than the myriad of "I'd hit it" replies from people here when a picture of someone at least mildly attractive is posted. No difference.
The day I actually start sleeping with every person crossing my path who I find attractive then you can call me any name you want. Until then it's all talk. It'd be nice if WhereNWS could understand the concept.
