A 2 second clip of Yoda riding a wookie was worth the price of the ticket.

I just saw it, not bad. Some parts were SO stupid. Why would little bots land on the fighter and start picking at it like a crab and not simply blow up? Why does Darth have a big red on button fixed to his chest plate? Would do they continue to attack with tons of tiny ships with tiny lasers? Why not just lob space rocks the size of long island at everything from 1 or 2 planets away? Why was did darth vader have to start off as a whiny f*****g teenager and how stupid are those adults to give him ANY responsibility? I liked when he was burning, reminded me of norman from dekalb avenue. Norman got cooked like a well done roast beef.

I enjoyed when Yoda threw his saber through that troopers chest, and then went and retreived it.

Also, R2 did some owning himself. Razz

I just saw it finally.

There definately was a sandperson scream in the background , although it was kinda quiet, so could have been confused as a ship passing.

It was corny to have the wookies do the Weismeuller Tarzan scream when they were swinging onto the ship.

I was hoping to see Yoda slice the troopers without even touching his lightsaber. Just kinda have it turn on and float around him, then reseat itself.

The scene with the twins being born though...
Luke was the only one being held near her. The nurse kept Leia back. Kinda ruins the whole "she remembers padame as her mother" idea. It didn't even show leia's face until her eyes were open, looking into Mrs Organna's face.

For consistency, when the first movies came out, Darth's suit has those switches, buttons, and lights on it because that was basically the only way they could make things look high tech.

In outer space the gravitational pull of other heavenly bodies makes a projectile shot very difficult to aim accurately. A lot of calculations are needed to take into account movement of the planets along with their affect on space/time and even if you were to aim something precisely, don't you think the target would see it coming?

Battles are usually done between large capital ships and usually enough men to occupy the target destination. The little ships are nothing more than support.

Have the same problems with it as well, the Tarzan scream is also present in RoTJ when Chewbacca and the 2 Ewoks swing onto the top of the AT-ST. Both times it's kind of lame.

Yeah as for the twins being born scene, it does rather ruin continuity, but oh well.

-Nah-

Just saw it. overall It was pretty sweet. I liked how the look and feel shifted back to ep4 during teh movie (ships and uniforms..etc).

when you mention books to read, what books? I did read years ago a series (I think mentioned in this thread) that happens after rotj with a new general, and a clone evil jedi and shit, but which other books are the "official" books?

Yeah was something from the clone wars or the comic books.

Yup, Windu pretty much f****d him up when he was fleeing at the end of #25 of Clone Wars.

At the end of ROTJ you see Yoda, Obi and Anakin all together in ghostly form. Only problem with that is, Yoda and Obi knew how to do the afterlife thing - but how did Anakin?

My guess (having not read the books) was that Lucas hadn't really thought it out yet at the time the original 3 movies were made and just had tha concept that all "good" Jedi take on that form after they die.

Later on he added the Quaigong stuff to as the story developed in his own mind and he tried to tie it all together.

Well, we finally saw it this weekend.

I thought the first part of the movie was too slow-moving, but the remainder of the movie was great.

It was a dark movie, both literally and figuratively. I hate when films are shot half dark like that--I really have difficulty making things out, at times. That may be the intent for some scenes, but I can't believe it is intended in all scenes. I keep thinking it's my aging eyes Sad

Keeping Anakin in the "shadows" works for me...interesting to see Padme sometimes in "shadow" as well, although I really wanted a gander at her costumes. There weren't as many as in the last two movies Sad

We have an approximate 17-18 year gap between this movie and E4, right? I haven't read books that cover that time period, but would be interesting to know: Why is Leia a Princess? Who started the Rebel Alliance?

Also, when Vader finds out that Padme is dead--why doesn't he turn on the Emperor then and there? The Emperor failed in his promise to keep or help keep Padme' alive? or, Why didn't Vader kill himself? His whole being, for better or worse, was wrapped up in Padme'? He didn't have anything to live for...there was never a promise about bringing back the dead, only to prevent the living from dying.

Is it possible that Grievous was actually Plagius? (sp?)

And yes, Nah, Hayden is very hot...his eyes smoulder, even if his acting mostly needs work... Smile

Grievous was not Plaigus(sp) because Dooku trained him in the ways of the jedi. Also Leia was a princess because of whom she was adopted by.

Bail Organa was a Senator, wasn't he? Princess denotes royalty, though...maybe Bail's wife was a royal?

If i remember correctly Sidious tells Vader that he killed Padme in his fit of rage, not just that she is dead.
