I know they had something like this in develop awhile ago where it could track incoming missles and destroy them w/ ultrasound or lasers or some shit.
Ill try and look it up when i get back from work, if I remember or someone doesnt beat me to it.

I wonder how long it will be until it can be attached to infantry for bullets in such.
Which will come first the super suit or the forcefield? Super Suit + Force Field would = some comic book shit, awesome.

They are already working on reactive cloth, armor that is as thin as say jean material, and when hit with sufficient force, stiffens like steel. Expect the penile implant version to reach the market long before the armor tho!

From the videos and description it sounds more like a laser shot at at warheads to detonate them rather than an actual force field. Bet that technology could be modified/adapted pretty easily to be used to shoot down ICBM's, much easier to hit a missle with a beam of light than another missle.

They said how it works is top secret (like, actual mechanics of it not the end result), not the device itself.
