I purchased a license for Spyware Doctor. My University gives me a free copy of VirusScan. I ran both of them, full scan, plus a stinger scan, in safe mode. It took out a lot of shit. Unfortunately, I still have this one really annoying piece of adware/spyware/whatever. It opens up browser pages of the default internet browser to one of like three pages. The page I see most often is some casino page. I disabled javascript, so I don't have the annoying text box pop-ups that come with, but I still don't know how to just get rid of this shit altogether. Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Doctor, VirusScan, and Stinger, all with up-to-date definitions, don't recognize it.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Help?
P.S. While I was typing this it opened up two new tabs in Firefox, one to "Europa casino" and one to some "cool deals" page. I would really like to get rid of this thing without having to format, as it's a real pain the ass to back up shit on this network.

A friend's computer was going slow as balls, and wasn't able to access the internet, until I removed Spyware Doctor. As annoying as it is, it may just be easiest to reinstall Windows.

I've got a similar spyware thing on my desktop computer at home. 3 different web pages popup even with spybot, ad aware and MS Anti-Spyware. Ive tried some others too but don't recall their names.
They found some other things, but this one wont go away. I even dug through my regedit files and didnt see anything.
Who the hell creates this stuff anyway? I would love to send their office some care packages of my dogs feces.
