|
|
|
I've been using bittorrent for a while, but I've never been involved in the whole invite scene, so I hope someone can answer a few questions I have.
Generally speaking, what would I need to offer for an invite at a tracker like FtN or SCT?
Can I trade more than just invites? Is trading an account at a tracker an acceptable thing to do?
Does it matter what kind of account I trade? For example, I'm a Power User on FL, would that be worth more?
Thanks very much.

for being a newb you know enuf to ask for top of the line,
which is itself suspicious. Now off the top of my head I'd say your a
faker playin newb to scam invites, but I been wrong before.

Seems like a genuine question.
Well FTN is one of the most coveted of trackers, '0-day' - super fast and lots of prereleases.
You would need to have invites to other highly coveted trackers for a trade. The reason they are so highly revered is that you have to fill so much criteria just to 'earn' a single invite. It can take years in most cases and one doesn't just give away those lightly....

Ha, that's understandable, I guess this would seem a little suspicious. The thing is, I'm not really a bittorrent newbie in general, so I know what the best trackers are, just not much about what it takes to get into them.

Doh. Also I apparently don't know how to use quotes.
Anyway, I guess my question then is, if you have to trade invites to top trackers in order to get invites to other top trackers, how do you get into one of these in the first place?
