Story is 4 months ago I sold my WoW account to some guy for $950. All the talking was done over Email and he sent me the money thru Paypal. I gave him the Account name, password, and CD Key. But not the Secret answer to get the password. Just recently I used the secret answer and got the account back. What im wondering is, is it possible for there to be some legal remifications for this? I mean he doesn't have any of my personal info, other than my Email and maybe my first name. And since it wasn't done on ebay or some website and that there is no written agreement, there really is nothing he can do right? He just should have the record on Paypal of him sending me $950 for no apprent reason.
So does anyone know wat my situation is right now other than that I am a big duche a*****e for taking the account back.

If they recorded the conversations and have picture proof then yes.

Well as far as conversions go, he still probably has the email conversations saved. But what do you mean by picture?

Actualy if he has your email and your first name and had some brains he could find you very easy. And if he got real p****d and decided to spend around $300 to a PI he would have all your details within 48hrs.

personaly I hope he has some brains and tracks you down and cuts your balls off and feeds them to you.

Your nothing but scumm ...

You can get sued for internet scam, fraud, etc. Since it's $950 that was purely STOLEN, you can end up paying much more than that, kid. Dont be a greedy Mother f****r and knock some sense into yourself.

it's really not enough to play wow with friends......and Blizz get crazy on account ban....

It's easy for Bliz catch u when u changed the password without any IP protection(such as using a anonymous proxy or some likely software).
But whatever,if the poor guy didnt change the ownship of this account, how can he persuade Blizz into renewing it!

If u feel sorry..just send him the new password and advise him change the account info...that is easy to deal with~

Yes, you can get in trouble. He can sue for fraud. If you don't have any money to pay for the lawsuit (which you probably don't) you put your family at risk. In small claims he can get up to $5,000 back. The judge can and probably will give you a misdemeanor which you will have to put on all your job applications until the day you die. You'll explain to your employer what you did and they'll see you as a deceitful piece of shit and not hire you. That's just the legal part.

USA has the highest homicide/crime rate per capita in the world. It's not unlikely he'll get a private investigator and hunt you, put a knife/gun up to you, demand his money, and if you don't/can't pay he'll quite possibly kill you. Don't f*** people out of their money because you have no way to control/predict how they will react. When someone's p****d, laws have no control over their behavior (if laws were guaranteed to control our behavior there'd be no crime). There's a lot of psychos and shit you wouldn't believe happens on a day to day basis. Take it from me after interning in the district attorney & sheriff's office during my undergrad. Give the guy his money back ASAP!
